Philippe P

Co-Founder

A native of France where he studied communications, education and technology, Philippe was a journalist and a teacher before moving to the US. Perhaps explaining his taste for travel and adventure, Philippe traces his roots back to the island of Corsica, the shores of North Africa, the Champagne area, and Paris where he lived before joining the tech innovation wave in the Silicon Valley. A veteran digital marketing executive, he founded in 1998 the startups Paris For Rent and Paris Luxury Rentals which eventually became World Guests Abroad. He oversees all aspects of business development, digital marketing, and technology. In his spare time, Philippe loves to travel with his family to new parts of the world in search of authentic experiences & adventures to live and share.

Patrick R

Co-Founder

Born and raised in Paris, Patrick moved to San Francisco after college. He came at the right time to witness the internet revolution, and joined Patricia and Philippe in the marketing team of a small online vacation rental agency. After making it a success story, they started their own company, World Guests Abroad, with two platforms, Paris for Rent and Haven In. Patrick is passionate about urbanism, sustainability, travel, food and wine. His favorite type of vacations: A villa in Provence or Italy with friends with a great kitchen, a table outside for dinner parties, and a pool for the kids.

Sang Ae

Sales & Travel Specialist

Brought up in France, and born in Seoul, Sang Ae lived in San Francisco for 20 years before returning to her roots in Lyon, France. Her past experience ranges from being a front-of-the-house manager in various French restaurants to owning a catering and event planning company combining her passion for cooking and organizing eco-consciously events. Her undeniable love for food and wine is often what drives her travels along with a fondness for live events and theater. From her professional experience and her personality, Sang Ae genuinely cares about providing the best service possible to her clients by being responsive, knowledgeable, and kind.

Erica B

Former Owner

Erica founded Haven In in 2006 to provide boutique rentals and quality service to vacation clients around the world. In 2018 she was pleased to pass the torch to Philippe, Pat and Patrick at World Guests Abroad. Erica now lives in Maine with her French husband, two cats and a flock of chickens. She is executive director of Veggies to Table — a non-profit farm growing top-quality organic produce and flowers to donate to those in need of food and joy. She still visits Europe, Paris and Italy when possible. In her all-too-rare free time, Erica likes to travel off the beaten track, read, take photos, cook, hike and enjoy long Sunday brunches with friends.

Pat C

Co-Founder

Born in Paris to French parents, avid for art, science and world culture, Pat spent her childhood and teenage years in Paris exposed to art collections, antique shows, music venues, and a very diversified food scene. She moved to the US as a young adult, got a BA in international relations, traveled the world then settled in San Francisco where she started a family and opened a neighborhood French bistro. A passionate sailor and lover of the sea, she moved to Hawaii where she has been raising her boys for the past 11 years. Pat travels to Paris several times a year and remains deeply attached to her European roots.

Emeline

Sales Manager & Travel Specialist

Born and raised in France, Emeline started her family in San Francisco, where she made her home for the last 20 years. She loves California for its abundant nature, culture, and international community with whom she shares her interests in art and wellness. Her ties to this company date back to 2007, when she first joined the sales team. While she loves exploring new places abroad she returns yearly to Paris, her hometown to visit new properties and enjoy her favorite city. Emeline's strong understanding of what guests are seeking is key to a fluid booking experience so guests can be sure they'll have a delightful time visiting Paris while creating precious memories.

Marinca

Sales & Travel Specialist

Born and raised in San Francisco to French parents, Marinca spent most of her life traveling between France and the United States. Passionate about music and culture, she has wandered the world trying to find holes in the walls and soaking up all there is to learn about the countries she visits. As a musician herself, currently living in New York City, she spends most of her time scavenging for new artists by attending performance shows as well as organizing them. Although her ties to the United States are very strong, she remains a true Frenchie at heart, eager to share her knowledge of France with any and all visitors.
