About
This Space
This gorgeous rental in the heart of Left Bank and St-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood is a classic Parisian beauty. The Luxembourg Gardens Elegance vacation apartment, perfectly located just steps from both the St-Sulpice church and the glorious Luxembourg Gardens, occupies the entire second floor of a historic 17th-century Parisian building and can welcome up to six guests.
Upon entering the building through striking 18-ft double doors, which have received the title of “monument historique”, guests are greeted by a sweeping stone and wrought iron staircase, once photographed by Eugène Atget. Up 2.5 flights of stairs, Luxembourg Gardens Elegance awaits. Built in 1690, this Paris apartment rental is rich in history and was decorated with grandeur in mind. The flat was fully restored in 2015 and features the elegance of parquet floors, antique furniture, and wood paneling alongside the convenience of a contemporary kitchen, air conditioning, and modern appliances. You will think you have wandered back in time to live in a classic Paris apartment (with modern conveniences).
Through the entryway, you will find the splendid living room and dining area, complete with original 17th-century stone and Cabochon floor flanking a large Aubusson rug. Tall French windows and 12-foot ceilings allow plentiful views and light to stream into this opulent yet comfortable space. On the opposite side of the apartment you will find the kitchen, modern and fully equipped with state-of-the-art induction hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, and juice maker. This area also houses the apartment’s washer/dryer.
The apartment boasts three bedrooms, each of which is located just off the living room and features wood paneling, internal wooden shutters, original parquet, luxurious Hypnos mattresses, and individual climate controls. The quiet south-facing master bedroom looks out over the building’s internal courtyard and includes a super king-size Louis XV bed, decorative 17th-century fireplace, cable TV (set up upon request only), and an en suite bathroom with double sink and a combination bathtub and shower. There is a large closet serving the master bedroom. The second and third bedrooms are located just across the living room from the master and are separated by a lockable connecting door. The second bedroom has a queen bed alongside a decorative fireplace. The adjoining third bedroom has a king bed that can split into two singles. These two bedrooms share a bathroom, located just off the entryway, with sink and large walk-in shower. The entryway also has a closet for more clothing and coat storage.
With its posh and perfectly central location, this property is ideal for enjoying the bustle of this historic and always chic part of Paris. Take a stroll down to the Luxembourg Garden or to the Seine river to relax in style, or head towards Boulevard St-Germain for a day of luxury shopping, famous cafés like Café de Flore & Les Deux Magots, and timeless Parisian sights. At the Luxembourg Gardens Elegance property, Paris is truly at your fingertips.

Reviews
Everything was absolutely perfect. Our greeter Beth was very knowledgeable about the apartment and area and even more lovely. She even appeared at six am the day we had to leave to help us down with our numerous bags. The cleaning service sent a fabulous cleaner, who made the place absolutely spotless and who couldn’t have been nicer to be around. The flat is furnished beautifully, with exquisite taste, harmonious colors, beautiful fabrics, tapestry rugs, top notch linens, and gorgeous antiques. Filled with light in every room, the apartment features the bells of St Sulpice and a location that could not be better for the Luxembourg Gardens and wonderful restaurants as well as a first rate kitchen that is beautifully designed and outfitted. There are 70 steps to reach the apartment, but even this became a plus because we got in great shape climbing them every day.
This is a particularly interesting property with strong historical links and a charming, beautifully presented sense of old Paris.
The property is great--comfortable, well appointed, and in a fantastic location. We could not have been happier. Our host, Beth, went above and beyond her duties--dropping off chargers, helping us find a shuttle to the airport when ours didn't arrive and even mailing back my daughter's lovey when it got left behind in the taxi. She is a true professional and her dedication is very much appreciated.
The apartment was in a perfect location and was absolutely beautiful. It was the quintessential Paris apartment . Beth, our greeter, did an excellent job of explaining the workings of the apartment. She was friendly, gracious and welcoming . When she was needed to answer a question or to deal with a problem she responded immediately . Her presence added a degree of comfort in our new surroundings. The apartment was quiet and well appointed. The beds were particularly comfortable. It was the perfect place for our family to gather for what turned out to be our best trip ever. Haven In....you're awesome . We are already talking about our next trip to Paris. Thank you, the Wilkinson family
We absolutely loved our stay in Paris. It was particularly special because our "home" felt like we'd emerged into the Parisienne vibe and we felt this was perhaps the most enjoyable aspect of our trip. The area was rich in culture with patisseries of gold any which way. And to be on the doorstep of the Luxembourg Gardens, having two children, was enjoyable extreme! We will be back for sure. Thank you for having us. PS: The personalized travel guide/printout was AWESOME!
