About
This Space
Newly added to the portfolio, this lovely one-bedroom, one-bathroom flat is situated in a quiet building on upper rue Bonaparte in St Germain-des-Prés steps from the river Seine, Quai Malaquais, the Pont des Arts passerelle and Musée d'Orsay.
Overlooking the lovely inner garden, this retreat-like peaceful place was once owned by world renowned designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Bonaparte Retreat is a compact (40 m2 or about 430 sq/ft) flat recently renovated, it offers tall windows with wrought-iron banisters, hardwood floors, a light decor and new furniture. Entering from rue Bonaparte through a heavy wooden door protected by a code, you'll access the 3rd-floor apartment via a gentle staircase (no elevator).
Past the flat's front door, a hallway entrance leads into the main living space with an open living room, dining space, and kitchen area. The living room offers a cozy sofa and armchair to seat 4 people comfortably facing a flat-screen TV. The sofa can be turned into a bed to accommodate 2 additional guests. The dining table will seat up to 4 guests next to an open kitchen with modern appliances: coffee maker, fridge/freezer, oven, stove, microwave, etc. The kitchen also has a washer-dryer.
The bedroom is compact, quiet, and cozy with a queen-size bed and a flat TV. The adjacent bathroom has a sink, a spacious shower stall, and a toilet.

About
The Area
St-Germain-des-Prés, the Quintessential Parisian Experience: Step into the heart of Parisian elegance in St-Germain-des-Prés, one of the city’s most storied and sought-after neighborhoods. Nestled on the Left Bank, this iconic district captures the perfect balance between historic charm and contemporary sophistication. Once the meeting ground of intellectuals, artists, and writers — from Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir to Picasso and Hemingway — St-Germain remains the epicenter of Parisian café culture and creative energy. Its tree-lined boulevards, bookshops, and legendary cafés such as Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots still buzz with the same timeless allure. Beyond its cultural prestige, St-Germain offers boutique shopping, art galleries, and fine dining tucked among centuries-old architecture and cobblestone streets. The Seine River, Louvre Museum, and Notre-Dame Cathedral are all within a short stroll, making it a prime base for exploring the very best of Paris. Whether you’re drawn by its literary heritage, its romantic ambiance, or its effortless style, St-Germain-des-Prés promises an experience that feels both authentically local and unmistakably Parisian — a blend of past and present that defines the soul of the city.
