About
This Space
Centrally located on a charming pedestrian street at the edge of the trendy Marais neighborhood, the Hôtel de Ville apartment rental is a designer-decorated, atelier style Paris vacation apartment, accessible through the courtyard of a typical Parisian building. It is the perfect starting point for discovering the city.
Completely renovated in 2016, the apartment is the ideal combination of comfort, simplicity, and whimsical style. As you enter into the main living area, you will feel right at home in this bright space decorated with botanic and animal themed prints, hip furniture, and accents of natural wood. The small, yet efficient kitchen is open to the main room and has everything you need for preparing your own meals. It boasts a full-size refrigerator, induction stove, oven/microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, and espresso machine. There is seating for six at the kitchen table.
The bedroom with queen bed is on this same level, just off the living room, and will delight you with its earth tones and trendy wallpaper design. The aqua-green bathroom offers a heated towel rack, a sink, a rainshower and built-in cabinetry, while the toilet is set apart with its own sink. Upstairs is the loft area, which can serve as both a comfy TV room or as a second bedroom. The large sofa is also a trundle bed that can convert into one or two single beds (it cannot be made up as a double bed). A single pullout sofa in the living room downstairs offers another sleeping option, making this property ideal for families, friends, or corporate stays.
This charming vacation rental is full of personality and will help you feel like a true Parisian. The Marais is itself a welcoming neighborhood, home to diverse communities and full of trendy cafés, boutiques, and restaurants. Your apartment is just steps from the gorgeous Hôtel de Ville, minutes to Notre Dame, Ile St-Louis and the Ile de la Cité, Place des Vosges, and much more.

About
The Area
Covering Paris’ central 3rd and 4th arrondissements, the Marais is the oldest neighborhood in the city, where medieval roads and architecture now contain designer boutiques, intimate museums, hip cafés, and hidden gardens. Just down the street from the Hôtel de Ville city hall, the Pompidou museum exhibits a wonderful range of modern art on four, expansive floors. In the center of the Marais, thanks to its historic Jewish heritage, you’ll find take-away and sit-down falafel restaurants and delis aplenty, including the world-famous L’As du Falafel, the newer Miznon, and ever-popular Sacha Finkelsztajn deli. Pick up a sweet treat from Pierre Hermé, Café Pouchkine, or L’Éclair de Génie and enjoy it in the calm sunshine of Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris, or escape the crowds at the hidden Rosiers-Joseph Migneret garden. History buffs will appreciate the Musée Carnavalet, a history museum dedicated to the city of Paris, as well as the fascinating Musée des Archives, both troves of rare documents and artifacts. The recently renovated Picasso museum and the hunting museum, Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, are fantastic options as well. Head towards metro St-Paul to rummage through the most unique antique and vintage shops in the area. Much of the Marais’ popular and varied nightlife scene caters to Paris’ gay population, but there is undoubtedly something to please everyone. The North Marais, toward Place de la République, is where you’ll find the delicious marché des Enfants Rouge and nearby cultural event center, Carreau du Temple, surrounded by a number of Paris’ trendiest cafés and clandestine cocktail bars.

Reviews
Everything about this was excellent. The reservation process, the arrival, service for a slight wifi problem (the agent was on the phone with me within minutes and worked with the wifi provider at length while we were out enjoying Paris), checking out, the quality of the apartment - excellent! The apartment was exactly as advertised - no bad surprises; a few good ones (great fridge!). Wonderful location - very very convenient to Metro and major sites within walking distance. Great restaurants nearby. Grocery literally next door. Can’t beat it! We had a wonderful 2nd honeymoon.
The Hotel de Ville flat was perfect for my week-long trip to Paris. The location is ideal - great for walking around the Marais and nearby neighborhoods, and it's a super short walk to the metro stations if you want to go further out. While it's in the middle of a bustling neighborhood, the flat itself is so quiet because it's tucked into a courtyard, away from the noise. I had no trouble sleeping at night (aside from jet-lag). There are so many cafes, restaurants and landmark sites nearby - I couldn't have been happier with the location. The flat is lovely and fully stocked with basic kitchen needs. I enjoyed a leisurely morning with my coffee before heading out for the day to explore. And if ever needed a break from exploring, the flat was perfect to return to where I could relax on the sofa. While I traveled solo, the flat would be perfect for two adults or a small family. It is well-designed and feels much more spacious than the square feet might indicate. I so enjoyed my time in the flat and would certainly recommend it to fellow travelers!
This apartment is perfect for either a couple or three people. The location is extremely central for all of Paris. I have zero complaints about the apartment. Of course, I have been renting from Haven in Paris for many years, so this is what I expected.
Our stay at Hotel de Ville far exceeded our expectations in every way. The apartment is beautiful - immaculately clean, tastefully decorated with lovely bedding, brand new dishes and silverware, modern appliances, and new comfortable furniture. It has everything you need, but is delightfully uncluttered. Tons of newly renovated closets and drawers gave us more than enough room to unpack. The bathroom, too, is sparkling clean with modern fixtures. The apartment's location was a dream - on a street with lots of cute shops and restaurants right outside your door, yet pin-drop quiet when inside the apartment. Delicious food is right around the corner -- two of the best dinners we have ever had in Paris (after many previous trips), and fresh baked pastries that we brought in from the nearby bakery each morning. It was the perfect home base for walking excursions each day - through the Marais, to St. Germain de Pres, walking along the Seine -- and we could even come home after a long day of walking to relax and change before heading out again to dinner. We wouldn't change anything about the apartment, and can't imagine staying anywhere else on future visits to Paris! Haven In also met every need - meeting us promptly at the apartment on our early morning arrival, showing us where everything was, and even leaving us flowers, cheese, and wine for a warm, personal touch. They responded quickly to our texts whenever we had questions during our stay. Overall, our best apartment rental ever!
Context - We are a family of 4 including 2 adults and 2 teenage girls ages 13 and 15. We stayed in the BEAUTIFUL Hotel de Ville apartment over Thanksgiving week 2019. The apartment is simply AMAZING, for these reasons: Comfort - Cozy beds and plenty of space to have re-charge time for each member of our family. Beautiful light through out, with options for more light or privacy. Extremely high quality temperature control inside the apartment (including super nice towel warmers) and extra umbrellas in case of rain for outside. Plenty of space in the high quality shower and toilet area. Amenities - Awesome kitchen with plenty of counter space for multiple bottles of wine, bread and treats. Beautiful fridge, dishwasher, sink, dishes, utensils, washing machine and small appliances. Feels like 5 star both for what is there and what it enables you to create - bring home delicious cheese, butter, meats, wine, etc. and enjoy throughout your stay. Location - AMAZING! So easy to get to metro stations to everywhere and easily walk able to major sites like Pompidou Center, Notre Dam Cathedral, great restaurants/cafes and lots of local culture. It's both magical and practical. Safety - Location is near a main street, plenty of lights and activity. My girls were comfortable to leave the apartment to get crepes and hot chocolate at the Pompidou Center and find Pokemon at the Hotel de Ville. Outdoor gate had a code, the apartment is on the 1st floor and has a heavy door. We rarely heard neighbors or activity inside the private area. Beauty - The design and aesthetics in the apartment are outstanding. Every single element - cabinets, wall paper, fabric, appliances, storage, doors, etc. have been thought through by a team that has both great style and functional expertise. It feels like staying at a 5 star boutique hotel. This apartment is perfect in every way and we are grateful that we were able to experience staying there for a magical week. We look forward to returning as soon as possible.
“Paris Apartment Hotel De Ville” From the morning we arrived until the morning we left, 7 days later, our stay at Hotel De Ville was amazing. Only a 10 minute walk to River Seine and Notre-Dame Cathedral, or a short 5 minute walk to a Metro subway station, Palace of Versailles or Disney Paris is only 40 train ride away. Starting our day with breakfast of fresh baked Croissants from the bakery 3 minutes away to our evening dining at the Grizzli Cafe’ across from the bakery this place is perfect. Location, Location, Location.
This unit was very convenient to visit various sites within Paris! Very lively neighborhood with lots to do. Very modern apartment, and even though it's in a busy neighborhood it was very quiet in the apartment. Thomas, who was our greeter was great as well! He was very resourceful and helpful during our stay.
We, 4 active seniors, rented this beautiful Paris apartment. Natalie greeted us at the apartment with flowers, baguette and crudites. And it was a relief to know that we could call her at any time if needed. The location was excellent as many of the major museums and churches were within walking distance. The metro station was a few minute walk. The Seine was a 5 min. walk. The apartment is very comfortable and clean.
This apartment was a perfect base for our family of four. It was comfortable, clean and in a wonderful location. We will definitely be back.
Another great stay at HDV. This time I stayed at the apartment for 5 weeks. I chose it again because of the perfect location in the 4th and because of the modern interior. Ali, my greeter, was lovely offered great hospitality. The reservation process is also easy with Haven In.
The apartment was ideally located and suited our needs perfectly. It is well appointed and we were met by two lovely, helpful greeters upon arrival and departure. We enjoy staying in properties that allow us to get to know the area in which they are situated. We loved the proximity to jazz and all things Paris.
We really enjoyed out stay in the Hôtel de Ville apartment. The apartment was in great condition and was not worn out like many rental units are. The decor is very modern and comfortable. There is plenty of space for two people to sleep, eat, and relax. We really appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with everything we could ever need. There was even a bag of nice coffee waiting for us. One of our most vivid memories of the apartment was the fantastic scent the bed sheets had on the first night! The location in the Marais neighborhood was convenient to many local shops including a fantastic boulangerie!. Right next door was a small grocery store that was stocked with most anything you might need. They even had a machine that made fresh orange juice right in front of you! There is a box of plug adaptors which came in handy since we only had two. There is no air-conditioning, but we very comfortable during our stay which was during the first week in September. I suppose they might be able to bring in a portable unit if needed. We used Sayshuttle to take us to the apartment and back to the airport. They were prompt, professional, and we would use them again. The driver might not have any change, so be prepared for that. You can trust Haven In to provide you with a first-class place to stay for your vacation. Everyone we worked with was professional and responsive. I would not hesitate to stay at one of their other properties!
Our stay at the Hotel D'Ville property was perfect in every respect. The apartment was immaculate, incredibly well located, beautifully designed and even better than it looked in the pictures (which is very unusual in my experience). Our greeter was extremely professional, always on time and very kind. She was knowledgable about the apartment and was helpful in every way. Haven In's communication throughout our time and before and after arranging the details was always helpful, prompt and considerate.
The apartment is centrally located in the fun and very hip Marais District, and a short walk to key spots such as Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame, and the Louvre. We enjoyed the location very much (very close to lots of restaurants and right next to a supermarket), and the apartment was very clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. Other convenient features include washer/dryer, pull-out sofa beds, and a full kitchen with appliances. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future. Merci for making our Paris trip a memorable one!
This charming apartment is the perfect place to base yourself in Paris. When we received the exact location, we were thrilled to learn that we would be right in the middle of things. From this apartment you can walk, uber, taxi or take public transportation any and everywhere. If you don't already know, the Marais is the liveliest part of town. It feels like "Greenwich Village" in NYC. When you step outside to the street, you are in the middle of everything. The apartment was impeccably clean and well organized. There was great attention to detail and making us feel at home. Four adults (two couples) were easily able to stay here without getting in each other's way. There were no stairs to climb to get to the apartment which made it easy. The apartment is modern and chic. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen was extremely functional. There was a very efficient washing machine in the apartment which made getting laundry and towels clean a snap! On a couple of shelves above the desk was a little library of helpful guide books in french and english. We had a splendid time in Paris, despite the overcast skies, and we think having such a cozy home base was part of the success. This is the perfect place to stay to be in the middle of Paris and feel like you are at home. And yes, we miss Paris and this charming apartment very, very much!
great city location, very comfortable and modernized apartment, even using the loft bedroom; space used very wisely, wonderful high windows in main room, small but functional kitchen with all amenities, great shower/bath
I spent one glorious month at the Hotel de Ville apartment. It is ideally located in the Marais. Very centrally located and easy to walk in any direction to other arrondissement. The street only allows delivery cars/trucks so it is pretty quiet. I felt very safe the entire visit. The apartment is beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfy and the comforter kept me nice and warm. I will definitely return! Haven In is GREAT to work with. Maria, my greeter was exceptional. Thank You so much!
We were in the small apartment very close to the Hotel de Ville. It worked great and was very convenient. Maria was our greeter, did a great job, and helped us with liaison when we needed a hospital. Marc was our driver, excellent, prompt, professional. When we needed a taxi, for the hospital, that was very easy to catch as well.
My greeter was the best ever. She helped me with my bags and when I locked myself out of the flat on a Sunday she was all over getting me help as fast as she could. She was helpful with tips on where to go and what to do. She cared about me and I felt that strongly. As a single person traveling I don't get the best of service and don't at all get the best of help. The greeter really went out of her way to make sure I was ok and that I was comfortable and if I needed anything I know she would have made sure it came my way. She needs to be thanked more than I could have and I hope that you all know what a great asset you have in her. She is exceptional. I loved the entire experience. I will be back if you all allow me to be I love it to the max it was easy to navigate close to all the things that I truly enjoyed doing. In fact I could have stayed in this immediate area the entire week.
We had a lovely time. Only good things to say. Maria was a lovely greeter, on time and full of information. The apartment was spotless, comfortable and quiet, full with information on how to take care of it and the surrounding area. Its location is perfect, for any where you want to go even on foot. It is minutes away from the underground which was also very convenient. During our three day visit we took only on taxi all the rest was by underground or on foot. The only thing that I would consider is changing the curtains in such a way that it would be possible to open a window whilst curtains are drawn as this is a ground floor apt onto a quiet courtyard. I would not stay there in August at the risk of hitting a heatwave which I think the two ventilators would not solve. However, I might be mistaken concerning this. Thanks for a lovely time
We just stayed at the Hôtel de Ville to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and I whole-heartedly agree with those who have stayed there, too and posted their reviews! It is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable, quiet and extremely convenient with many shops, restaurants and a metro station all a very short walk away. There is a full kitchen as well to cook your own meal if you don't feel like having to eat out! We did both-breakfast in and dinner out at Benoit around the corner. Maria, the host, was so sweet and very helpful!
I had such an incredible stay at Hôtel de Ville in June. The apartment is designed and decorated beautifully with everything you need to be comfortable (including a great shower, full kitchen, and big cozy bed to crash into after a long day of walking!). And it's quiet. The location and neighborhood is perfect with so much to see and do within walking distance and there are plenty of trains nearby, too. Maria, who greeted me upon arrival and saw me off upon my departure, was extremely helpful and kind. There was a transportation strike while I was there so she reserved a cab for me to the airport which was extremely helpful! I'm already plotting my next trip and stay at Hôtel de Ville.
Oh, how wonderful it has been to stay in your beautiful apartment! I only wish I was staying longer. Had an amazing visit to the Pompidou, lunch at Causses, coffee at Loustic, dinner at Benoit. Already looking forward to my return!
This property is a delightful, intelligent and cleverly designed flat less than 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame. It is ideally located in the heart of the Marais with a grocery store literally next door and anything you could need within 5 minutes walk. The photos do not do it justice. It is a fantastic design. The only draw back is there is no AC, which typically would not be an issue, but as it was in the 90s (near 35C) the 3 days we were there, it was a problem. The two fans provided worked well for sleeping but really offered no relief during the day. Haven was fantastic, as was Thomas, our contact in Paris. They are completely professional and have thought of virtually everything. First class organization.
