Situated in desirable Marais, a short walk away from place des Vosges, rue Saint-Antoine and rue de Bretagne, this spacious 200 m2 apartment offers a very flexible floorplan with 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths over 3 floors.

Set back from desirable rue de Turenne at the end of a charming and quiet courtyard, it offers high ceilings, tons of light, and views over the Paris rooftops from almost every room! It has a modern feel, contemporary art, furniture, and appliances with a nice home vibe.

The apartment is on the third floor (no elevator) of a classic Marais building at the back of a charming cobblestone courtyard along rue de Turenne, an enviable fine shopping, dining and art galleries area.

Up an easy flight of stairs, entrance into the apartment opens to a side hallway practical for hanging coats, dropping shoes, or storing the occasional bike and shopping basket.

The doorway opens directly into the broad, welcoming foyer/dining/kitchen area. The kitchen features an open, roomy floor plan with all modern appliances. The stove is convection-based and the oven is electric as well. There is a large dishwasher, and a large-size refrigerator/freezer. The dining area offers comfortable seating for up to eight guests.

A rowing machine is available for guests who wish to stay well exercised. The room is also large enough to accommodate an extra dining table if necessary (not provided) to accommodate.

Next door, an adjacent bedroom is set up with a double bed, a desk, and small sofa.

Down the hallway is a shared bathroom with a combo tub and shower, a toilet and a sink. Further down the hall is the master bedroom with exposed wood beams, a queen size bed, a lounge area with a corner sofa.

Up a flight of stairs are two other bedrooms with a shared bathroom offering a large standing shower, a sink, toilet and towel warming rack. The first bedroom has a double size bed comfortable for a couple, a desk, and an armchair. The second bedroom has a trundle bed with a couch and a small desk.

Up yet another flight of stairs is a fifth bedroom tucked under the roof. It offers a single bed, a desk and access to a terrace with views of Paris rooftops.

This apartment has a separate washer and dryer. Several Bluetooth audio speakers are available throughout the space for your use to play music from your mobile device, phone or laptop. About
The Area

Covering Paris’ central 3rd and 4th arrondissements, the Marais is the oldest neighborhood in the city, where medieval roads and architecture now contain designer boutiques, intimate museums, hip cafés, and hidden gardens. Just down the street from the Hôtel de Ville city hall, the Pompidou museum exhibits a wonderful range of modern art on four, expansive floors. In the center of the Marais, thanks to its historic Jewish heritage, you’ll find take-away and sit-down falafel restaurants and delis aplenty, including the world-famous L’As du Falafel, the newer Miznon, and ever-popular Sacha Finkelsztajn deli. Pick up a sweet treat from Pierre Hermé, Café Pouchkine, or L’Éclair de Génie and enjoy it in the calm sunshine of Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris, or escape the crowds at the hidden Rosiers-Joseph Migneret garden. History buffs will appreciate the Musée Carnavalet, a history museum dedicated to the city of Paris, as well as the fascinating Musée des Archives, both troves of rare documents and artifacts. The recently renovated Picasso museum and the hunting museum, Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, are fantastic options as well. Head towards metro St-Paul to rummage through the most unique antique and vintage shops in the area. Much of the Marais’ popular and varied nightlife scene caters to Paris’ gay population, but there is undoubtedly something to please everyone. The North Marais, toward Place de la République, is where you’ll find the delicious marché des Enfants Rouge and nearby cultural event center, Carreau du Temple, surrounded by a number of Paris’ trendiest cafés and clandestine cocktail bars.
