The apartment is lovely - full of Parisien charm. Great location in the Latin St Germain. Enjoyed the restaurants on Rue Galande and Cafe St Victor - the best French Onion Soup. Wanted to go back to Terroir Parisien but closed for vacation during my visit. Maria was lovely and very helpful. Working with Haven In was so easy.
All was, as always, when we travel with your company, perfect. Marc Waters awaited us at Gare de Lyon, the train came in the minute it was expected to come, we arrived, with some curiosity at the NOD apartment, Beth greeted us with really nice flowers (she has a feeling for this stuff) and a good and cold bottle of wine, showed us around, and we were happy to be in a real Haussmann-Area with nice shops, restaurants, etc. We felt like home. Best of all was the radio which was used by us every morning and evening. And to make things perfect, two of our sons came for my birthday (they had an invitation at the Ritz, our oldest son is a travel journalist), but we all decided that the Notre Dame Apartment was much better than the Ritz.
My husband and I were in 7th heaven in this apartment! We would love to go there again.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment near Notre Dame. The location was ideal and the apartment was well appointed and maintained. The apartment building was also lovely--the tenants were all quiet and polite. The only improvement I can think of, and this is minor, is that it would have been nice to have complimentary shampoo and conditioner since we hadn't thought to bring any and had to purchase a small bottle of each for our stay. Our greeter, Beth, was very nice. She was waiting for us when we arrived and showed us how to operate all of the appliances in the apartment. She also told us to give her a call if we had any questions during our stay so we didn't feel abandoned once she left. She also came promptly at 9:30 am for check out and even helped us with our luggage. The driver who picked us up at the airport was Marc Waters and he couldn't have been nicer. He was there waiting for us and called Beth from his car to let her know when we would be arriving based upon traffic in the city. The apartment was clean when we arrived. There were a few areas of plaster peeling off the wall which Beth apologized for. She said he had wanted to get them repaired prior to our visit but there just wasn't enough time. Even so, we can't complain about the apartment and we did our best to make sure it was clean when we left. I would highly recommend Haven in Paris to any of my friends who are interested in visiting the City of Lights.
The experience was fantastic, HIP made the rental process simple and easy so we could enjoy our time in Paris
One of our favorite aspects of our trip to Paris was the HIP apartment, Notre Dame. The apartment was perfect for my husband and me...clean, beautiful, great location. The neighborhood was filled with markets and restaurants. Raffaella, our greeter was wonderful. She made us feel comfortable and welcome. AND, she spoke English. We had lined up a driver to take us back to CDG, Marc Waters. His baby decided to arrive a week early, and he was not available. However, he took the time to immediately line up another driver, Morgan. Morgan not only drove us to CDG, but ushered us to our gate. Thanks to all the HIP Team!
Our family of four (two adults and two children, ages 7 and 6) absolutely adored "our" Parisian apartment -- the location was absolutely fantastic; we walked everywhere in the city! The flat was absolutely adorable, decorated tastefully, and provided plenty of space for our family. The apartment was sparkling clean when we arrived, and our greeter, Beth, was friendly, responsive, and a wonderful contact to have in the city. Moreover, the entire Haven in Paris team made the entire rental process a breeze. We already hope to return to Paris to stay in the same apartment!
We just returned from 10 days in Paris. HiP provided wonderful home base at their Notre Dame flat. Simply put, it's convenient to everything. Metro and ReR train is less than 5 minutes away and will take you wherever you need to go. The airport is only 30 minutes away by ReR B and it's a easy journey. The flat is perfect is style and size. I highly recommend the ND flat and will definitely stay there on our next trip. A final note to speak about the wonderful service of HiP. It's a seamless transaction: from the booking process to moving into your own oasis in Paris. They were very professional throughout. Well done and thank you.
This apartment is adorable. Exactly like the pictures on the site. Perfect for a single or couple. We were two girls and shared the queen size bed. there is a sofa bed as well. The location is absolutely the best part of this apartment. You are so close to the eglise Notre Dame and the touristy left bank, but a block away so you have a tranquil neighborhood feel. Never felt nervous in the area - walked around every night after dinner. Great choices steps away from the front door. Loved the market for fresh fruit and cheese, the bakery, and ate one night at the greek place downstairs. I have very limited walking ability, and i could walk for 5 minutes to the islands, to the hop on hop off buses, and to the bouquinists along the seine.
Hands down, the best way to experience Paris, and the Latin Quarter neighborhood specifically. The property was clean, well stocked and perfectly situated to enjoy our 10 day stay. Once you've mastered the RER ( the train that services the major sites), you will have easy access to everything you want to see. The staff at Haven made everything comfortable. Make use of the driver they provide for transport to and from the airport. His name is Marc Waters. He speaks English well and will make your arrival and departure much less of a hassle. Raffaella, our greeter did a nice job of welcoming us and even though she got stuck in traffic to see us of, called and apologized.
My husband and I spent a wonderful week in this lovely apartment to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The apartment is darling and so comfortable. We fell in love with the neighborhood, shopping for goodies every morning and noshing all day! The location is perfect for exploring Paris' best offerings, mostly on foot or a short metro or RER ride away. Some favorites: Diner at - Semilla Le Pre Verre Le Petit Pointoise Terroir Brunch at - Holly Belly Lou Lou Croissants at - Eric Kayser Parisienne Ble Sucre Du Pain et des Idees Anything from the marche down the street, especially cheeses, jams, honey, and wine. Merci beaucoup!
The flat is really lovely and a perfect stepping off point to discovering Paris. Thank you and hope to be back soon!
Merci! Amazing place, we had the most amazing time... Trip of a lifetime. Perfect place to stay and hope to be back soon.
My wife and I have lived in Paris and speak the language (not well, but somewhat fluently), so we were looking for an apartment that would allow us to "live" in Paris while sightseeing. The Notre Dame apartment fit that bill beautifully. The location simply cannot be beat. First off, you are near the Place Maubert, a true neighborhood with amazing food shops. You can get coffee for your (supplied) French press at Brulerie Maubert, on rue Monge, or Coffea, on Boulevard Saint Germain;bread and pastries at the original Eric Kayer on rue Monge; smoked salmon at the poissonerie in Place Maubert; and great Greek food to go at the traiteur right next to the apartment. Across the street at Franprix and Carrefour Express you can get milk, eggs, fruit etc. And on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the famous covered market on Place Maubert offers fantastic fresh food. And there are wonderful moderately priced restaurants within a 15 minute walk of the property (list to follow). More important, for those not as food obsessed as I am, the apartment is a walk away from just about everything you might want to see in Paris. Because it is in the northwest corner of the 5th arrondissement you can walk to, for instance, the Musee Picasso or the Pompidou (worst museum and building in Paris!) in half an hour. You are close to the enchanting 6th without being subject to its night noise, and you are right by the water. And it's not so bad to walk past Notre Dame once a day -- I've seen it a hundred times and always find something new in it!! The apartment is lovely and bright, a little small with a tight kitchen, but the pullout bed works great, the phone service is free and easy to use, and there's even a cable box that gives you English speaking channels. If you are just cooking eggs and making toast and coffee in the morning, the kitchen works fine. I wouldn't try anything much more serious, but why would you? The great restaurants are just waiting for you (if you have a reservation!!). You do hear the upstairs neighbors padding about (Paris apartments never seem to have carpets). It's an old building, and a little neighbor noise is par for the course. But overall the apartment is just so much better, easier, and less expensive than a hotel (the Hotel Colbert, around the corner, charges $650 for a room!). And, as I have said, possibly the best location you can find in Paris. Here are a few of the first-rate restaurants within fifteen minutes of the apartment: Atelier Maitre Albert, 1 rue Maitre Albert -- a modern bistro now run by the legendary Guy Savoy. La Bouteille d'Or, right around the corner at 9 quai Montebello, imaginative bistro fare with a mostly French clientele. Le Petit Pontoise, 9 rue de Pontoise, 5 minutes away. Traditional bistro, tiny, great inepensive wine. Boucherie Rouliere, 24 rue des Canettes. Superfun bistro specializing in beef. Get the filet! Le Zyriab. On the roof of the Institute du Monde Arabe, about ten minutes away. Expensive but awesome Lebanese food and the same amazing view of Paris you get from Tour D'Argent for about 500 euros less. Ze Kitchen Galerie, 4 rue des Grands Augustins. For a splurge, this foodie haven offers a set menu of Asian inflected French food. May well have been the best meal we had in Paris. Ten minutes away. Les Papilles, 30 rue Gay Lussac. Tiny bistro that serves one set meal. You pick your bottle of wine from the bookshelves filled with great stuff. Gets a 25 in Zagat. And get the pain aux cereales at Eric Kayser's boulangerie! Lastly, the folks at Haven in Paris were just terrific to deal with. I would certainly stay at one of their properties again, including the Notre Dame apartment.
We loved the Notre Dame 1 bedroom apartment. It was adorable, comfortable, clean and well situated. We commend Vincent, who cleaned the apartment before out arrival. It was spotless. The apartment is only a few steps from a metro and cab stand and also food markets and a fresh market on Tues. and Thurs. The location can't be beat. The only suggestions we have are to add trash cans in every room. There is only a tiny one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. We thought the one in the bathroom is too small.
We were very pleased with the Notre Dame flat. It was open and bright and though it faced on two streets was very peaceful and quiet. The amenities: wi-fi, computer, telephone, washing machine, dishwasher, etc. made our stay even more enjoyable. And our greeter, Raffaella, couldn't have been more friendly, gracious and helpful. Based on our experience, when we travel next we'll definitely keep Haven in Paris in mind.
We absolutely loved our stay. The Notre Dame apartment was far roomier than we expected with ample space for our family of four (our two girls slept on the fold-out bed, which was comfortable). The apartment was simply and tastefully decorated, and a perfect home base for our week in Paris. The neighborhood was great -- convenient to shops and to the Maubert Mutualite metro stop on the 10. The St. Michel stop was also within close walking distance. Our greeter, Raffaela, was wonderful. She took time to get us situated and make sure we understood how everything worked in the apartment (and she even told us where to get the best pain au chocolate in the neighborhood). Laurent, one of the drivers recommended on the site, picked us up from the train station to take us to the apartment. He was great -- friendly, told us about the different areas and landmarks of Paris as we drove through the city. We will definitely use Haven in Paris again and hope to stay in this exact apartment again.
I know Paris very well and have stayed in many hotels at all different price brackets and other apartments . This property was excellent and would return .The location is superb being close to St Germain and the Latin Quarter and the Seine but on a street which has little through traffic and therefore quiet . In any case the bedroom is at the rear and peaceful and quiet with one minor issue which is that the wooden floors throughout the block seem to transmit noise and the owner/occupant of the apartment above the bedroom occasionally sounded like Nelly The Elephant when he/she rose in the morning .There is a hint of this issue in the welcome pack when one is asked to be considerate in shoe wear so as not to transmit noise to those below . But this is minor . Beautifully light and well equipped with perfectly satisfactory kitchen equipment and appliances including good washer/dryer .Bathroom excellent . Booking easy ,local arrangements excellent and flexible ..for example re leaving luggage on departure day if possible . Note from Haven in Paris: Thank you very much for letting us know about the noise from above. This is exactly why we ask our guests to take off their shoes. We hate to disturb the neighbors below as the neighbors above were bothering you. We will try to chat with the above neighbor to get them to make less noise, if possible.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay! Thank you so much for everything.
The Notre Dame apartment has a great location for exploring the 5th. It was in walking distance of Notre Dame. We were in Paris for Christmas and spent Christmas Eve at midnight mass at the cathedral. We were able to get there easily around 9, and we were home in minutes after mass. There is a taxi stand, Metro Stop, three grocery stores , and a weekly market within yards of the apartment. It is so conveniently located. The apartment itself was exactly as advertised. It is spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay in the kitchen, in terms of cooking utensils and equipment. We shopped at the local market on two occasions, and cooked in the apartment. It was good fun!
We really enjoyed our time at the Notre Dame apartment. It was exactly as described on the website. It was light, with several full height windows/doors and had a very comfortable/pleasant feel about it. The views of rooftops and buildings across the street were lovely and gave a sense of space and authenticity. It was easy to imagine you were a resident rather than a tourist. The heating was very effective and the lift was a relief to come back to after a long day on the town. The location was very convenient with easy access to everything. The elevation above the street meant it was remarkably quiet. The Boulanger across the street made great baguettes and quiches and the convenience stores were very close. The Metro was a two minute walk away and the trains typically came every 2 - 3 minutes.
My experience with Haven in Paris was a huge success from start to finish. The web site is beautifully constructed with accurate photos of the apartment I chose. In fact the apartment was absolutely magical! The staff responded quickly to all my needs before, during and after the rental. The Notre Dame apt is in a spectacular location with everything you would want in a Paris neighborhood including a fromagerie, boulangerie, butcher, fish market pharmacy, bank, grocery store, brasseries, etc. The Seine and the Notre Dame cathedral were just a block away. Two days a week there is a market in the square and on Saturday a brocante popped up unexpectedly. We couldn't have been more pleased!!
We had a great stay in the Notre Dame Apartment, our greeter Rafaella was thorough, polite and very helpful, the apartment was very clean and the cleaner Vincent was also very helpful, all in all a lovely apartment with great facilities, you guys think of everything! Hope to come again!
We loved everything about this apartment but one of the most appealing factors was the beautiful light that transcended the whole living area any time of the day. By opening the French doors at the front of the apartment and the kitchen and bedroom windows at the back, enabled a wonderful cross breeze on the warm days and nights that we were there. Hardly needed to use the fans at all. This apartment has everything you would need and we were delighted at the standard of the appliances and facilities throughout. The location was fantastic and within very easy walking distance to everything - even Le Bon Marche! It's close to the Metro and you don't have to walk far to find a great eatery - they're everywhere around here. Even if you want to catch a good film (many with English subtitles) - there are a number of cinemas within easy walking distance along Boulevard St.Germain. Ah! - so delightful sitting in that beautiful living room area with the French doors open wide, munching on an Eric Kayser croissant, sipping fresh roasted coffee and listening to the Notre Dames's bells ringing out. Would not hesitate to use this apartment again.
A perfectly laid out space for separating the needs of two teenaged kids - late nights and late mornings...from the needs of their grandma...early nights and early mornings! It was awesome...Grandma had the bedroom, the kitchen and the bathroom to enjoy the early morning hours having a cup of coffee and reading, without waking up the teenagers who set up house in the LR/DR area. Could not have worked out better. The location was perfect for the teens to go safely exploring at night and for grandma to shop Saint Germaine des Pres during the day. A taxi stand at the corner, great places to eat on every single block, Eric Kayser 5 minutes away for the best raspberry and lemon tarts and a 5 minute walk to the Seine. Ile St. Louis 10 minute walk to amazing shops and fabulous food...I will definitely return to this apartment!
We spent 16 nights in this wonderfully located Paris apartment. It has an excellent large living space with lots of light and a great view. The bedroom is well proportioned and reasonably quiet (though sleeping with windows open is a challenge because of noise in this area). The kitchen and bathroom are tiny but have everything you need. During our stay there were several days above 95 farenheit (35 celsius), but the windows could be opened for a wonderful crossbreeze and fans were provided. We had a friend stay a few nights on the sofa bed which was apparently very comfortable. As for HiP - they were excellent at all times during the booking process and also very responsive to a problem we experienced during our stay with heavy construction noise in the apartment above. Some tips for others: There is a wonderful bank of shops (charcuterie, boulangerie, fromagerie) conveniently located at the end of Rue Lagrange on Saint Germain and a great wine shop and Greek deli just downstairs. The best croissants are from Eric Kayser on Rue Monge - don't miss the almond croissant! There are goods and produce markets on most Tues/Thurs/Sat in the square on St Germain at the end of the street - great for fresh fruit. There are several nearby bikeshare (velib) stations (including one at the end of the street) and these are very easy to use and a fabulous means of getting around Paris. We used the bikes day and night and were able to avoid the metro completely. We have visited Paris on many occasions over the past 20 years and having the bikes allowed us to really experience the city in a different way. I thoroughly recommend it!
Everything about Paris and this apartment was wonderful! We could not have enjoyed our time any more than we did. Merci and au revoir!
Merci!! Thank you!! We had a wonderful time in Paris. The apartment was lovely and absolutely perfect.
The booking process was straightforward and painless. Our greeter was punctual on both check-in and check-out, showed my wife and me all the features of the apartment, and answered all of our questions. The apartment is in the middle of everything; it's on the same block as two grocery stores, a bakery, multiple cafes/bistros/restaurants, a "tabac" where Metro tickets/stamps can be purchased, newsstands, and a Metro station. Also nearby are the Seine, Notre Dame Cathedral, Shakespeare and Company bookstore, and a multitude of other shops and eateries within an easy 5-10 minute walk. It would be difficult to think of a location in Paris to stay in that would have the same wealth of resources just outside your door. The apartment itself was clean with an updated bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom had a rainshower and the kitchen had updated appliances, including a washer/dryer. There was a TV with cable and a DVD player (and lots of DVDs to watch on hand), a computer, and working wireless internet for your phone, laptop, or iPad. There were even folding chairs for sitting on the cozy balcony. The bed was comfortable; however, there is no closet, just a wardrobe with drawers in the bedroom, so don't overpack.
Merci! We loved the quiet apartment - the location was great. So wonderful to be back in Paris for a week. A week of mother/daughter time in Paris - shopping, eating, walking, exploring.
The apartment in the perfect location for a perfect stay in Paris! So wonderful and we will be back! Merci!
We had a wonderful time in our Notre Dame apartment. So many nice touches to enjoy a quiet, simple escape from the busy Paris all around us. Thank you!
We adored the property. It was the ideal location, and everything inside was perfectly chosen. The sofa bed was even comfortable!
We had an absolutely perfect stay at the Notre Dame apartment. The apartment was clean and beautiful, perfectly located and more than exceeded our expectations. We have already recommended it to our friends!
Beautiful, immaculate, gorgeous light (VERY important for a stay in Paris!), a wonderful location just behind Notre Dame and overlooking a boulangerie on a quiet but interesting street. It was the perfect perch for watching Parisian life unfold on the cobblestone streets below. Everything in the apartment is updated including the kitchen and the bath. It’s the perfect size for a solo trip, or an intimate couple.
Haven In Paris was recommended to us by a trusted co-worker and from my first contact it was clearly a quality organization and experience. I found everyone we dealt with to be friendly and accomodating. This was the first time we have rented an apartment so I was a bit unsure of what to expect but it could not have been better. I wish you would expand your business to Rome - our next destination!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Notre Dame property and would recommend it to our family and friends. The rental process was easy and straightforward. The apartment was clean, well-equipped and nicely decorated. Our greeter was courteous and helpful.
Our greeter met us exactly when promised and was very nice and thorough in explaining everything in the apartment. The apartment is beautiful and is in excellent condition. It is nicely decorated and extremely clean and kept up. It is around the corner from Notre Dame in a lovely neighborhood. Very quiet at night and lively during the day. I would highly recommend this apartment and Haven in Paris. They are extremely professional and very helpful and put my mind completely at ease about renting our first apartment in Paris.
Beautiful. What more can I say.
Thank you, Haven in Paris. The apartment is beautiful, calm, and all right in the middle of everything. Excellent location for walking, metros, bus. Loredana was the perfect greeter and Vincent the perfect cleaner. Thank you both. Two "finds" that may interest others: -Balzar Brasserie on Rue des Ecoles, a block from Cluny. It now has continuous service, yay! The building if getting cleaned outside but don't let that stop you from a great meal. Or several. -I bought a 10E Bus Plan - which shows EVERY bus route in Paris. I was here long enough to explore places "not of note" and had a great time. No tourists! Atget scenes in present time.
We had such a wonderful week in Paris. The apartment was exactly like the photos and the service and quality was exactly what I expected. This lovely apartment - from its gorgeous design, spacious layout and all the accoutrements - is the perfect location for “living” in Paris. We enjoyed all the little shops on the corner – the fromagerie has the best chevres, vanilla yogurt, butter and abricots jam! We had baguette, butter and jam every morning. The best baguette was just one extra block away at Eric Kayser on Rue Monge. The Thursday/Saturday outdoor market was great for fresh produce and honeys. Needless to say, we made the most of having meals at home but didn’t do any actual cooking since there are so many great things already prepared within an arm’s reach! The neighbors we encountered were all so polite and obviously have a lot of pride in this building and neighborhood. Thank you Haven in Paris for setting the stage for an amazing vacation in The City of Light!
Overall, we had an excellent experience at the Lagrange property. The apartment was lovely, and the location was central to everything. Vincent, the cleaner, did an excellent job of cleaning both at the beginning and in the middle of our two week stay. He was friendly and accommodating to us. We have recommended Haven in Paris to friends. We would not do that if we were not completely satisfied with the apartment and the service we receive from you and the people on site.
Had a wonderful week doing all the things we had missed in previous trips. Not to be missed: the view from Montparnasse, a boat trip on the Seine, the restaurants L'AOC and Dominique Bouchet, Canal St. Martin and lunch at Hotel Du Nord - we could go on - oh yes the hardware section of BHV! Lovely flat, a great trip.
The building and the flat were even better than in pictures (bigger).Raffaella and Vincent were both very nice and on time. Vincent cleaned the flat superbly.
The Notre Dame apartment is a delightful refuge, full of light and sunshine, cozy in the coldness of winters. We were lucky to see snow in Paris! The position of the apartment is fantastic - a few steps from Notre Dame and round the corner from Shakespeare and Co. Raffaella, our greeter, was lovely and very helpful. All in all, a wonderful stay.
Our experience with your team (including our greeter in Paris) and the apartment has been flawless. I have already recommended your business to many friends and colleagues as I was so impressed by the prompt service and advice. We had the most amazing holiday and felt as though every thought and care had been taken to ensure our comfort was achieved within the apartment. Thanks again for everything!
We had a wonderful stay at the Notre Dame apartment and found the location was much better for seeing the major sites than where we stayed last year. We were less than a 5 minute walk from Notre-Dame, the Seine River and the metro, yet the neighborhood is very residential and offers all you need for services. The apartment is a one bedroom, kitchen and a good size living/dining room. The kitchen has a combo oven/microwave, dishwasher, combo clothes washer/dryer, fridge, 2-burner stove, electric tea kettle, a "french press" type coffee maker. Dish soap, dish cloths, dishwasher and clothes washer soap is provided, as is dishes, cooking pans, salt, pepper, olive oil. The bedroom has a queen size bed and an armoire for clothing. The bath has a rain shower (ahh) and plush towels and washcloths are provided. The living area has a TV, DVD with a movie library, books, a Macintosh laptop, WIFI and a phone. The sofa bed was very comfortable - much better than traditional sofa beds! We were greeted at the apartment and shown how to use the appliances and door lock, and provided an overview of the area. If you arrive before the apartment is ready, you may leave your luggage. Across the street is a grocer and boulangerie, but if you take a left exiting your building and walk to the next large intersection of roads (I think it is Blvd Saint-Germain) , you find a fromagerie, boucherie, etc. Yet again, didn't make it to the Louvre - I guess I have another Paris trip in my future with HiP! Thanks Donna
Our stay in the apt was wonderful and our greeter was amazing. She was on time, covered all we needed to know in the apt and was also prompt when we checked out. We were extremely pleased with Raffaella. Please give her our regards and we hope to return in 2012.
From the beginning of the enquiry and booking process, things were easy, efficient and informative. We found the property in pristine condition and our greeter very friendly and helpful. The apartment was fitted out with a number of essentials which just make it homely and easy to kick off the perfect stay in Paris. Highly recommend the apartment which was within walking distance of many delicious and touristy things.
Not only the most perfect Parisian setting but everything in the flat shows taste and thoughtfulness. We will definitely be coming back!
We had a short break in the Notre Dame apartment in November. It was like staying in a luxury hotel, but with more space - it was kitted out with everything you could need, was very well kept & clean. The location was superb - an easy walk to many of the main tourist attractions, with public transport nearby & useful shops (boulangerie, supermarket, etc) on the same street - we would definitely rent this apartment again. The arrangements through Haven in Paris all went like clockwork. Our greeter was on time & very helpful, including accommodating our request to check in early & check out late, to fit in with our flights.
It was the perfect place to stay in every way. Haven in Paris is a very caring and respectable organization who demonstrated to us their high degree of professionalism - this property is cared for and very well maintained. What isn't described about the Notre Dame apartment is it's convenience to key transportation - it was so easy to get to Gard Nord and to the Charles De Gaulle Airport as well as all the key locations in Paris. It was a wonderful place and I look forward to staying again.
A great Parisian experience in this delightful apartment. Can't wait to be back soon.
A perfect Paris apartment. Thank you so much for taking such care. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay.
The apartment was fantastic and Rafaella was more than helpful!
I would like to thank you immensely for providing such unique and generous services. You always make sure there is something in stock for your guests. Most thoughtful.
From the moment of walking in to Apartment Notre Dame to the moment of departure was an absolute joy. The place is so well located - right in the heart of the Latin Quarter and around the corner from the majestic Notre Dame. There is everything one could need in the area, with the metro minutes' away. The constant buzz was terrific yet perfectly quiet for sleeping. The apartment was finely decorated; three large double windows in the living room, allowing constant sunlight throughout the day and evening. The use of the Mac Laptop was a great bonus and the DVD player was also a plus. The kitchen was very well stocked and perfectly adequate for cooking if needed. I was there for seventeen days and could not possibly have felt more at home. The apartment was immaculate and having the elevator was a great bonus. Also an iron and ironing board was provided. I was immensely grateful for the free use of the telephone - managing to keep in touch with loved ones while away from home. Yet another generous touch offered by Haven. This was my third time using Haven but my first time staying at Notre Dame. I would have no hesitation in coming back here but, because of its popularity, availability isn't going to be so easy. For as long as I am able, I will keep returning to the Haven Team, since their sense of professionalism, caring, generosity and fairness are, in my opinion, unparalleled. Thank you, Haven. Well done, yet again, and I hope it won't be too long before I can get back to Paris. There is no way now I would even contemplate staying in a hotel - you have totally spoiled us. With kindest regards, Elizabeth McGarry
I cannot say enough good things about Haven in Paris and the Notre Dame apartment. From the moment I contacted HiP about booking my stay to my final checkout, I received the most courteous and personal attention. Every question was answered and every request was met. They made renting an apartment in a foreign country so easy! The Notre Dame apartment was a dream. It was beautifully furnished and sparkling clean with internet and phone included! And the location could not be better-only 1 block from the Seine and Notre Dame. I only wish I could stay there forever!
My wife and I rented the Notre Dame Aparment from June 7-14th and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. It's location is perfect and when you first enter you can't believe it because renting from the USA sight unseen can be a bit scary, but it's exactly what you were hoping your Paris apartment would be. It's made to eat cheese and drink wine. It does not have air conditioning, but the weather was perfect and we didn't need it at all although it might be something to consider later in the summer. If you're looking for the perfect Paris experience you won't be disappointed with this apartment either in comfort or location. We're already planning our trip next year!
It was such a pleasure working with HIP! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Notre Dame property. It was just as quaint and comfortable as the photos appeared. The service was fantastic and the services that they made available were wonderful as well. The location was fantastic for walking almost everywhere we went. I would highly recommend both HIP and this location.
HiP was extremely helpful and professional in all our dealings with them. All parts of the booking and payments processes were followed up and nothing was left to chance. The Notre Dame apartment was fantastic - it was bright and absolutely everything was provided even umbrellas. Its location and view were superb - 3-4 mins from Notre Dame, 2 mins walk to metro, supermarkets, patisseries, boulangeries etc. Great to have free calls back to Australia. The cleaning of the apartment was of an extremely high standard - even our computer screen was cleaned. A special thank you to our greeter Raffaella who was very helpful, professional and efficient, particularly in getting a taxi for us when the person picking us up was caught in traffic.
We had a marvelous time! Yes, that was thanks in part to fantastic weather for the entire month of April, but also in large part because of the Notre Dame apartment. It is extremely well-located, near several metro lines, a fantastic thrice-weekly outdoor market, food shops, a Franprix and a Carrefour express-- as well as dry cleaners, a bank and of course, several cafes and brasseries. All are but a stone's throw away. The apartment itself is quite comfortable and airy, with tall windows, lots light, intriguing views, and high ceilings. We had two people over who own apartments in Paris -- one on the Ile St. Louis and the other in the 7th -- and both were wowed by our spacious (well not exactly by US standards!) digs. (They also liked the lift.) The kitchen is quite up-to-date (though I had trouble adjusting to the oven as I am used to Farenheit and know very little about combination microwave and regular ovens.) Also, it takes forever to do the laundry, thanks to the ecologically sensitive washer/dryer. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fine. We enjoyed the TV, the ipod player and had no trouble with the neuf box. Mary Jane did an excellent job with the cleaning. Plus, she is a pleasure to know -- bright and willing to help with anything. Raffaella was also great. She did come over to try replace a light bulb-- we couldn't find the right type. That they both spoke English was helpful, too. I hope we can rent this very same apartment next year.
We returned yesterday from our whirl wind tour of Europe. Thank you so much for the rental of the apartment. It was in a fantastic location and we managed to find wonderful places to eat in and wonderful places to take food away from. With regards to our greater, you couldn't have found a nicer person, she is a delight and very helpful. [In regards to the] the apartment, light bright and happy and we were there when it was just turning into spring, the apartment is on the right side of the street to get loads of natural light, which for Australians is very important. The area is fantastic and the cafe on the right hand corner where the locals go is the best in Paris, the sweets are to return for. The apartment itself is well thought out and function extremely well, the kitchen is wonderful and the oven/microwave was so good I am buying one on my return to Melbourne Australia. We were warm and cosy and at times didn't want to rush ourselves out the door in the mornings because we were so comfortable. The apartment is serviced very well with restaurants and mini super markets. Everything a family of four could need. Thank you ladies so much for the opportunity, we look forward to our next stay with you.
The apartment far exceeded our expectations! The location in the Left Bank is phenomenal as is the service of the Haven in Paris group. We stayed for 5 nights and will stay again on our next trip. The apt was cozy, nicely appointed, wonderful bed, sheets and towels and perfect to come back to at the end of a day of walking/sightseeing. Great restaurants literally minutes away.
We just wanted to say a quick thank you. The professionalism of your staff helped to make our 2-week long stay at the Notre Dane apartment even more enjoyable. Everything was perfect ... and you can let any sound-sensitive future clients know that the Notre Dame bells cannot be heard from the apartment ... despite the proximity!
