Palazetto San Marco
This stunning luxury vacation apartment with it’s private terrace and breathtaking views onto the Grand Canal, the domed baroque Santa Maria della Salute Church, and the Peggy Guggenheim museum sits directly on the Grand Canal, a 5 minute walk from Venice’s famed Piazza San Marco.
The spacious and sleek 3 bedroom/3 bathroom 2500 sq ft (232 m2) 2nd floor apartment was designed by a leading Venetian architect in collaboration with a talented French decorator. The carefully thought out interior harmoniously blends historic Italian architecture with creative, modern design.
Clean lines and a stripped-back approach coupled with peaceful colors purposefully accentuate the constantly changing light flooding the apartment from three sides (a rarity in Venice).
Terrazzo floors (chips of marble in polished concrete), large gothic windows, creamy marmorino walls (fresco plaster made with finely crushed marble), and high ceilings enhance the exceptional ambiance and views.
The interior is expertly fitted with a curated collection of Italian midcentury furniture by the likes of iconic designers and architects including Ponti, Caccio Dominioni, Angelo Mangiarotti, Gardella, Franco Albini, Gio’ Ico Parisi, Fontana Arte, Bruno Gambone and Marcello Fantoni.
The apartment’s three salons and large dining room (seating for up to 8) all boast large picture windows and panoramic Grand Canal and monument views. The fully equipped galley style chef’s kitchen will accommodate anything from a peaceful meal on the terrace overlooking the Grand Canal to an upscale catered Venetian dinner party.
The Master bedroom suite has a its king-sized bed and terrace overlooking the Grand Canal (the terrace can be accessed from both the master bedroom and the entry way). The expansive ensuite marble bathroom and dressing room has a marble bathtub hewn from one large stone, a double sink, separate double shower, separate wc, heated towel racks and the fantastic Venice canal panorama.
The second bedroom overlooks the Palazzo’s Courtyard and the Grand Canal. The king size four poster iron bed has two large twin mattresses (1m x 2m) which can be made up separately if requested. Please note: the bed can not be separated. The ensuite marble bathroom has a double sized shower, single basin, and heated towel racks.
The third bedroom has two single beds 90 x 2m which can be put together with a mattress topper on request to make a king sized bed. The ensuite marble bathroom has a double sized shower and a single basin.
Additionally there is a floor to ceiling marble guest WC off the kitchen and entry foyer.
