About
This Space

This boutique apartment rental is the perfect starting point for experiencing true Parisian living. Enjoy the comfort and calm of this sunny one-bedroom retreat, tucked away on a quiet street in an ideal part of the 15th arrondissement. Within walking distance from the Champs de Mars and the bustling shops and cafés of Montparnasse, the Pasteur Designer is a perfect Paris rental to come home to relax after a long day of work or enjoying all that Paris has to offer.

The apartment was recently entirely refurbished to offer every modern amenity while maintaining the original details of the art deco ceiling moldings and wall paneling. The décor throughout the apartment is resolutely Danish modern with beautiful rosewood furniture, featuring iconic pieces from Lars Larsen, Hundevard, Hansen, IB Kofod, Erling Torvits, and Kjersgaardt. while the walls are adorned with gorgeous paintings from contemporary artists.

The floor-to-ceiling windows in the south-facing living room let in plenty of natural light to enjoy the stylish seating area with eclectic reading library. The separate kitchen is fully equipped and ready for gourmet cooking. Both ground coffee and Nespresso capsules are supplied. Home cooked meals with fresh produce from the nearby food market can be savored at the industrial steel dining table from a Lille textile mill. Eighteenth-century Bleu de Chine plates and hand-painted ceramics from Mexico’s Tonala brighten the walls and add a touch of color.

At night, hand-embroidered bedding and a silk-stuffed comforter on the queen-sized bed ensure a peaceful night. Indulge in the fully renovated bathroom, with its Italian shower and heated rack to keep your towels warm and fluffy.

Located on a quiet street in an authentic Parisian neighborhood, the Pasteur Designer is an easy walk or metro ride to many of Paris’ famous Left Bank monuments (Eiffel Tower, École Militaire, and Invalides,) and also offers easy access to some of the best shopping the Left Bank has to offer: the sensational Bon Marché, the Hermès flagship store, and the nearby Rue Lecourbe, with its wonderful food stores, including the famed Androuet cheese shop.

About
The Area

Known among locals as the “Parisian’s Paris,” this picturesque, authentic neighborhood is a side of the city most tourists don’t get to see. While the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Montparnasse, and St-Germain-des-Prés are all easily accessible by foot or metro, the 15th arrondissement contains a plethora of original charm worth getting to know and love. La Cantine du Troquet is a friendly, neighborhood institution where you can enjoy traditional French dishes in a quintessential, casual setting. At Porte de Vanves, you’ll find a wonderful flea market, which you can peruse for hours on weekends, scavenging and bargaining for unique antique furniture pieces, wall hangings, and jewelry. Chefs and home cooks will adore the inviting market street where rue Lecourbe meets rue Cambronne, complete with an artisanal honey shop and the famous Androuet cheese shop. An expansive outdoor market also sets up under the elevated metro station at La Motte-Picquet on Wednesdays and Sundays. Leisurely picnics and afternoon naps can be had in one of the neighborhoods many parks and gardens. But with the Eiffel Tower peeking out so often between these avenues and boulevards, you’re reminded that the heart of the city isn’t too far away.

My husband and I stayed at a Haven In property in Paris, and we had an amazing experience. The apartment was very well taken care of, put together, and the company was very professional in dealing with our arrival and our stay. They set up a cleaning service, made sure we had all the information necessary for a good stay, and best of all, the property owners were very helpful, too.

We could not have been more delighted by the whole HiP experience! We received thoughtful and clear communication throughout the entire booking process up until checkout, and the property itself was perfection! I canx27t imagine returning to Paris and not booking an apartment through HiP since we enjoyed it so much. We got the benefit of experiencing life in a quiet neighborhood which was only a skip away from a Mxe9tro stop that could take us anywhere we wanted to go. The apartment itself was well appointed with anything we might have needed. We appreciated the artworks the owner selected, as well as the description in the guide book so we knew how to appreciate them. We enjoyed preparing a few meals, as well as being able to stock up for the many picnics we had throughout the city! I also appreciated being able to do laundry (and therefore being able to travel with only a carry-on)! Also, we thank you very much for the flowers and Champagne upon our arrival! The only comment I have (I hate to even have a complaint!) is that the flowers were already wilted when we arrived and the water was dirty which makes me think they were placed in there a few days in advance before the weekend instead of fresh for arrival, so I was not able to enjoy them the week, and they only lasted one more day. Both Florence and Beth were very helpful and available throughout our stay if we would have needed anything, and we were so appreciative of your recommendation of David, our driver to and from the airport! He was very prompt, friendly, and reliable and we would recommend him highly to anyone! xdxaxdxaNote from Haven in: Thank you for the note about the flowers. We are so sorry to hear that they wilted so quickly. We do want our guests to have fresh flowers during their stay and we will certainly look into this. Thanks again!

Back again at the Pasteur Designer apartment. Enjoyed being here last year and now, after another wonderful 3 weeks, are very familiar with our surroundings and the whole neighborhood. Great shops everywhere. Tried many restaurants. Especially good is "Le Baribal" just a very short walk from the apartment right on the corner.

This was a great apartment choice for me and my husband. Set a little out of the city and close to everything we needed. Our greeter was so kind and helpful, she even checked up on us to see that everything was going well. My only complaint is that this apartment is in very close proximity to a children's school, and a basketball court out of the kitchen window. So it got pretty noisy, and it was never mentioned to us. We found out bright and early Monday morning (haha) BUT the apartment is great. Note from HiP: We are sorry to hear you were disturbed by the schoolyard sounds from nearby. We do not have a note on our website since this is the first time a guest has mentioned any disruptive noises. We will monitor the situation and if it seems this is a recurring problem, we will certainly add a note for other guests. Thank you. We look forward to having the opportunity to host you again in the future!

I had a wonderful two weeks in this beautiful apartment. It is beautifully furnished, with excellent art & a kitchen you can really cook in! The neighborhood is also wonderful -- great shops on rue Lecourbe & a fantastic patisserie on blvd Pasteur -- Des Gateaux et du Pain.

Our second stay at the Pasteur Designer was again a delight. The decor and appeal of the neighborhood are real draw cards. The baguette traditionelle from the Boulangerie Richard and the chèvre from the fromagerie Androuet count in the attractions of this haven of Paris.

Our wonderful stay in your apartment confirmed our decision to purchase an apartment in the 15th arrondissement. Thank you for opening your beautiful apartment to us. We especially loved spending time here because of our love of art. Thank you again.

We had a lovely stay in the Pasteur Designer apartment. It was beautifully appointed and thoughtfully designed. Florence, our greeter, was a delight and helped us settle in comfortably. She was also very helpful in arranging transport and putting us in touch with on-call English speaking taxi company.

My husband and I have rented many apartments in Paris. This is the most thoughtful & beautiful! Thank you for sharing your lovely home...

Wex27ve now used Haven In twice, and have been extremely happy both with the rental process and the units. We were very pleased with the Pasteur apartment. It would be too far from the center for a first-time visitor perhaps, but we loved the area. Genuine market streets are no longer thriving in every neighborhood, so we enjoyed having such a great selection of fromageries, boulangeries etc. nearby, patronized by locals, not tourists. The apartment itself was beautifully appointed, and we did appreciate the ownersx27 art collection! The bathroom was a bit small, but that really wasnx27t a problem. I can only make one suggestion, and that is to augment the bedside reading lights, as it was just too dim to read comfortably at night. Florence, our greeter, could not have been nicer. She was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful -- just a lovely, bright young woman.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Pasteur Designer apartment. We are regular visitors to Paris and always choose to stay in apartments. "Pasteur" has been by far the most spacious and beautifully appointed one so far. Great location too and after 3 weeks we felt as though we were part of the neighbourhood. Thank you to HiP and our charming greeter Florence who acquainted us with the apartment on our arrival. Also to our very efficient and pleasant young cleaner. Hope to return soon.

The Pasteur Designer apartment was exactly what we required. The apartment we wanted was to be situated slightly away from the main tourist areas, in a quiet street, with good shops, restaurants etc. that the x22Parisiansx22 enjoy. Pasteur Designer meet all our needs, and with the ease of the Underground stations nearby and many great attractions within walking distance we did not feel isolated. The apartment was extremely well furnished, and was fitted out that would guarantee that we had a very enjoyable stay.

Just fabulous... a very beautifully appointed & decorated apartment... Thank you Francais + HIP. Do visit the Louis Pasteur museum on rue Dr. Roux... Antoine on rue Vaugirard is a must... yummy! Did not try any of the local restaurants as we have our favorites. Enjoyed the music/reading room, such a treat. Thank you!

We enjoyed nine lovely days in Paris-- what a comfortable and tasteful apartment to come home to each night after a day of exploring this wonderful city. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. This is our first time in Paris (finally!) and hope to be back again soon! "Bonne journée!"

Darryl N. May, 2015 NYC, USA

The apartment was wonderful and exactly as described — I really enjoyed my overall experience — I would definitely look at Haven again to book an apartment on another trip. Florence was GREAT… very friendly and professional and gave me a thorough overview of the apartment. She also arranged for a car to and from the airport and this was well organized and again seamless. No issues… the apartment was very clean and organized — 1 small suggestion would be to add a full length mirror somewhere as this was something I noticed that was missing.

Rebecca M. May, 2015 San Anselmo, CA

So happy to have stayed here in the 15th with time to wander. The antique book market, the flea @ Vanves, and Parc Citroen had all seemed far away from central Paris. Here, they are a morning stroll away. Great neighborhood, lovely small squares & gardens. Restaurant Neige d'Ete is divine.

Melissa & Jon April, 2015 New York, New York

Thank you for sharing this wonderful apartment! We greatly enjoyed our stay in these beautiful surroundings and in such a fantastic neighborhood. We highly recommend the cheese shop - Androuet. I would move here for the yogurt alone! Also the Maison Gilles Verot charcuterie is outstanding for picnics - ham, roast beef, carrots, french fries (just frites here!).

Melissa April, 2015 New York, NY

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful apartment in 2015. It is a wonderful, warm environment - with lovely and comfortable furnishings. The Kitchen is modern and well equipped with a nice seating area. Staying in the area made us feel like we were living in Paris - the neighborhood is residential and not touristy, exactly what we were looking for. But a short walk to the metro which makes the entire city feel so accessible. Or a great starting point for a walk to explore museums or neighborhoods. Within a few blocks there are wonderful food shops. All in all a wonderful option for staying in Paris!

Matt and Carly February, 2015 Chicago, IL, USA

This was the second time we rented an apartment through HIP and everything went as smoothly as the first time. Our greeter was waiting for us upon our arrival and, for checkout, was five minutes earlier than our agreed upon time which helped make sure we made it back to CDG in plenty of time. Our greeter showed us all the features of the apartment and made sure we were familiar with everything before she left. Though we didn't need to communicate with her during our stay, getting in touch with her before our stay was easy. The property itself is well-appointed: big TV, cable, DVD player, and a Bang and Olufsen wireless speaker that was a little too complicated for my liking. The shower and bathroom are outfitted with contemporary fixtures, though the shower, like the speaker, is a bit too complicated for its own good. Perhaps some sort of information sheet on working the shower would be helpful as its dual heads and somewhat confusing temperature control are not the most intuitive. The toilet is in a separate room off the kitchen which is actually nice if two people need to be doing separate things simultaneously. The kitchen has everything you could need to prepare food, though we didn't use of it except for the espresso machine. The location is excellent. Not knowing much about the 15th prior to our stay I was a little concerned about the existence of various shops and businesses that I came to expect during our previous stay, but they are all there on either Rue Lecourbe or Rue de Vaugirard. There is a cafe on the corner down the block with a very nice proprietor. A BNP Paribas is maybe three minutes away on Rue Lecourbe, as well as bakeries, more cafes, a couple grocery stores, and a tabac (for the "carnet" of 10 bus/Metro tickets sold at a slight discount). Three Metro stops are within easy walking distance, with the Pasteur stop likely being the most useful as both the 6 and the 12 stop there. Three or four bus lines go up and down the two major streets that bracket the apartment and are good transit options as well, depending on your destination. One tip for those coming from CDG who don't want to pay for a taxi (like us): the apartment is not near any RER stops, but there is an express bus service called Cars Air France (run by the airline, though it stops at every terminal, not just the Air France one) which has a line that terminates at Gare Montparnasse. The ride from the airport is about an hour, and from the train station it's either a 10 euro taxi ride to the apartment, or an easy and pleasant 15 minute walk if you don't have too much luggage (we walked on the way to the apartment and took a cab back to the bus). Tickets for the bus are easily purchased online and you can print them out from home/work, thus saving you from having to get euros either ahead of time or at CDG to pay for whatever form of transportation you choose. Overall: a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. It's a great combination that is highly recommended. Note from HiP: Thank you for your comments about the wireless speakers and shower being complicated to use. We will certainly look in to how we can make things more straightforward.

This is such a fantastic apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed its abundance of character and comfort. Paris is a fascinating city that at times can be frustrating and irritating; but within a matter of minutes have you swooning over every other step. Coming home to such a fantastic apartment made it all the more pleasurable. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Bob T November, 2014 USA

We enjoyed Paris and your apartment immensely. You offered every amenity . . . The decor here is lovely and only added to our journey. We recommend to everyone. Meals a delight, historic sites not to be compared. Thanks for the memories.

This was the second rental for us via HIP and both rental experiences were exceptional. Lovely and helpful greeters met us when we arrived. The flat was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. We look forward to returning to Paris and will definitely stay via HIP.

Gardner September, 2014 Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

I found Haven In to be the most professional rental service. The process of payment, any questions, check-in, and back-up were excellent. We looked at using another rental firm which we found on the Internet and now suspect it was a scam. HIP gave us great confidence from the start. We rented two properties in Paris since we booked late and neither were available for our entire stay. Both were excellent properties, quite different, and different neighborhoods which made our trip more interesting. Pasteur Design is within 2 blocks of the Metro and a less touristy neighborhood. We felt we were living the true Paris life. Plenty of shopping closeby. The lift was appreciated and we felt secure coming and going. Pasteur Design is well decorated with quality and luxurious furnishings. We found that we invited guests in just to show off the apartment.

Gina & Mike T. September, 2014 New Jersey

Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful apartment. The decoration is amazing and we loved the antiques, specifically your Chinese collection. We are Paris "old timers" and did not know the 15eme very well. The neighborhood is great with lots of kids around, something naive in Paris, what makes it very joyous. The food shops in Rue Lecourbe and Cambronne are amazing; especially the fish!
