The Petite Maison is an adorable, fully renovated two-bedroom cottage located in beautiful countryside close to the darling hilltop village St-Saturnin-les-Apt in the Luberon region of Provence. This delightful air-conditioned vacation rental is nestled among vineyards, cherry trees, olive groves, lavender fields, and your own koi ponds: a secluded paradise just three kilometers from the little town of St-Saturnin-les-Apt and 10 minutes from Apt.
You will feel right at home with the lovely gardens and exterior spaces. There is a large covered porch with an outdoor dining area, a hammock, chaise lounges, a grill, and a ping-pong table.
On the main level of the villa is a modern living and dining area with open, fully-equipped kitchen offering convenience, light and comfort. There is a W.C. on this level as well.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a full bath and toilet. One bedroom offers a comfy queen bed and faces the pond, while the other has two comfortable twin beds and views of the village in the distance. The full bathroom by the bedrooms has a shower and a separate W.C.
This private little house is set on 10 000 m2 of manicured grounds, all level and perfect for strolling or sitting under a tree to enjoy a book. The outdoor lights make the property equally beautiful at night. The 10 meter long saltwater pool is the perfect spot to enjoy the mellow ambiance of Provence. There are two ponds linked by a little canal. The top pond has a jetty: the perfect place for an evening cocktail on a property that already offers a diversity of stunning outdoor spaces.
Note for 2017: The pool is shared with the larger house on the same property but in 2018 the Petite Maison will have its own private pool.
The friendly housekeeper comes by each morning to discreetly feed the fish in the ponds and to check that all is well on the property. She will rearrange the outdoor furniture, and if necessary, replace the wet pool towels for dry ones. There is parking available on site.
For larger groups please note that the Petite Maison is located on the same property as our Mas des Souces villa. They can be rented separately or together to accommodate groups small or large. Rented together there are 6 full bedrooms, o full kitchens, and tons of outdoor living and dining. Both homes have private entrances and are a comfortable distance from one another and separated by greenery to allow both groups full privacy.

We loved our stay at the Petite Maison. Henrietta was a marvelous host, her warm welcome, generous offerings of wine and local produce and the extensive notes on the area and recommendations on where to eat were spot on and a real bonus . We had a lovely time exploring all the beautiful little villages around and about and left (with a heavy heart) feeling like we had experienced a little bit of the real Provence . Our only regret was that we didn't have an extra day to enjoy the property with its beautiful garden and just relax - next time. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable and memorable stay.
