About
This Space
The Rosiers apartment is an ideal short-term vacation rental situated in the heart of the trendy and lively Marais neighborhood. This spacious two-bedroom flat is a haven for family holidays, corporate stays, and romantic getaways. Located on the second floor of a 19th century building classified as monument historique, your Paris apartment has been stylishly renovated by the owners who succeeded in combining modern design and comfort while retaining many of the original features: marble fireplace, parquet floors, wood beams, and many more touches of French character.
As you enter the spacious open living area, you will immediately notice the floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer ample light and views onto a charming Parisian street. Seated on the comfortable leather sectional sofa you can enjoy all the comforts of home, including a large flat screen TV. The adjacent fully-equipped kitchen boasts professional quality appliances with a six-burner gas range and even your own espresso machine. You can sit either at the dining table or at the breakfast bar for a more casual meal. Whether you decide to cook in or eat out, you are close to quaint markets, high quality food stores, and great restaurants alike.
The inviting master bedroom offers a queen-sized bed and decorative fireplace, while the second bedroom has a queen bed that looks out over a private courtyard. For additional sleeping space the sofa can be used as a futon. The full bathroom has a soaker bathtub and a separate walk-in shower. The separate half bathroom (W.C.) with toilet and sink allows for privacy without monopolizing the entire bathroom.
The Rosiers property is the ideal holiday rental for families, couples, and groups of friends seeking a stylish, modern, and convenient base to explore Paris. The Marais is a wonderful historic neighborhood known for its architecture, hip shops and galleries, restaurants, gay and Jewish population, and central location. You are surrounded by famous hôtels particuliers and within a stone’s throw from some of Paris' best museums: Maison Victor Hugo, Musée Picasso, Musée Carnavalet, and Centre Pompidou. You can also walk to Rue des Rosiers’ famous falafel shops, Seine River, Ile Saint-Louis, Notre Dame Cathedral, Left Bank and so much more.

About
The Area
Covering Paris’ central 3rd and 4th arrondissements, the Marais is the oldest neighborhood in the city, where medieval roads and architecture now contain designer boutiques, intimate museums, hip cafés, and hidden gardens. Just down the street from the Hôtel de Ville city hall, the Pompidou museum exhibits a wonderful range of modern art on four, expansive floors. In the center of the Marais, thanks to its historic Jewish heritage, you’ll find take-away and sit-down falafel restaurants and delis aplenty, including the world-famous L’As du Falafel, the newer Miznon, and ever-popular Sacha Finkelsztajn deli. Pick up a sweet treat from Pierre Hermé, Café Pouchkine, or L’Éclair de Génie and enjoy it in the calm sunshine of Place des Vosges, the oldest square in Paris, or escape the crowds at the hidden Rosiers-Joseph Migneret garden. History buffs will appreciate the Musée Carnavalet, a history museum dedicated to the city of Paris, as well as the fascinating Musée des Archives, both troves of rare documents and artifacts. The recently renovated Picasso museum and the hunting museum, Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, are fantastic options as well. Head towards metro St-Paul to rummage through the most unique antique and vintage shops in the area. Much of the Marais’ popular and varied nightlife scene caters to Paris’ gay population, but there is undoubtedly something to please everyone. The North Marais, toward Place de la République, is where you’ll find the delicious marché des Enfants Rouge and nearby cultural event center, Carreau du Temple, surrounded by a number of Paris’ trendiest cafés and clandestine cocktail bars.

Reviews
Everything was great in the apartment! I loved how historic the building and apartment are. It was a great location near a metro station and great little bakery that we walked to each morning. Stuart was waiting for us when we arrived and quickly responded when we needed help with the heat. He was also right on time for checkout. The apartment was clean and we had everything we needed. We used taxi to go for our airport transfer which was recommended in the welcome email and it worked out perfectly. We would absolutely come back and rent again!!
Amazing property...location, cleanliness, amenities, views, space...this was the perfect place for 2 couples to call home a few days. Close to metro, restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. This really felt like home away from home. To truly capture old Paris look no further than this property and location. Our greater Stuart was amazing...met us at the metro, got us settled in and walked us a short walk to Brasserie Bofinger which was the perfect way to start our Paris trip.
We were a party of three and the apartment was a good size and very comfortable for us. It was very clean and well maintained. It was a very attractive apartment and well represented by the pictures on Haven’s website. In terms of supplies, I found it to be one of the best provisioned apartments I have rented in Paris. The check-in/check-out process was very easy and the greeter was very helpful. The Marais is my favorite neighborhood to stay in Paris, and the location of this apartment was perfect.
We are ALWAYS happy to return to the Rosiers apartment. After all these years, I think its up to six or seven, we really feel this stunning, loft-like sanctuary is "ours" whenever we are in residence. We were especially satisfied this year, everything worked perfectly even as Paris was in the midst of the Yellow Vests. We want to thank Loredana, our usual greeter, who did a great job arranging Jeanette to fill in for her this time around. Everyone involved in our experience with Haven In are really friendly, knowledgeable and available. Vincent who does the cleaning of the apartment does a five star job. He is very easy to work with in terms of scheduling a good time to come, and everything sparkles again after he leaves. We feel safe, comfortable and in good care each time we return. Thank you for all your team did to make everything run so smoothly for our family holiday.
We had an amazing time and the apartment was conveniently located for our needs. It was very convenient for finding everything, taking the metro, popping-in-and-out, shopping, finding food, and taking breaks when needed. I also like the fact that we could walk almost everywhere or take the metro to almost everything from the apartment. I anticipated taking uber / cabs more but we actually didn't use them. I would definitely recommend the apartment in the future and would easily return there again. The place was very clean, modern, and stylish.
What a fantastic apartment and location! It truly lived up to the beautiful pictures and the HavenIn team was attentive, responsive and so helpful. With this apartment as our home base, the Marais became our family’s neighborhood for the week.
The apartment was perfect for our group and we had a lovely time. Our greater was perfect and on-time for check-in and check-out. Cleaning was superb, no complaints and I usually have a few when it comes to cleaning. Everything worked in the apartment and we had no issues during our stay. Couldn't be happier.
I searched for Paris apartments for weeks and finally found Haven In and the Rosiers apartment. It looked perfect for our group of three and the Haven In staff was so helpful in answering all of my questions (and I had a lot) and addressing my concerns prior to making the reservation. The booking was super easy and our greater was fantastic. We arrived very late on a Friday night to a beautiful apartment that was pre-stocked with some groceries we requested. The apartment itself was better than we imagined. It was spotless, spacious and the beds were so cozy. The kitchen was outstanding and very well stocked. I was very worried about street noise, but at about 10pm, the streets were totally quiet and the apartment was too. I was also worried about not having AC, but the fans provided were awesome and we were totally comfortable despite the July heatwave. I can't say enough good things about the location of the Rosiers apartment. It is PERFECT with tons of great shops and restaurants everywhere, very close to the Metro and just far enough away from the major tourist traps to feel like a real Parisian. After touring the city, we couldn't wait to spend our afternoons at the apartment, windows open, eating our eclairs, drinking wine and playing cards while the world buzzed away outside. Tres magnifique! Book this apartment... you absolutely will NOT be disappointed.
The apartment was wonderful, in a relatively quiet neighborhood. It was clean and well appointed. Shops, restaurants, metro, and attractions were all close by. It was perfect for our family of four.
This was my first experience renting through Haven In. The property was clean and exactly as described. The company is quick to respond to questions and is thorough in communicating the rental process, check in and check out process.
I am a long time customer of Haven in Paris and have rented this apartment before. Thus, it was exactly as I expected. The location is great and the apartment is in perfect condition. There was an issue with the department telephone while I was there. My email was answered within minutes. The problem was quickly fixed the next day (it was already 5 PM when I sent the email), and a cellphone was offered as an interim solution. This is why I always recommend HIP. Problems are inevitable, but if there is one, it is quickly resolved.
We had such a wonderful stay in Paris in the Rosiers apartment. Everything was lovely and exactly as pictured. Loredana, our greeter, was wonderful too. She was personable and so helpful, pointing out everything we needed to know about the flat and making sure we had everything we needed. The flat is clean, charming, and bright, with fresh sheets and bedding. We fell in love with it — the modern kitchen, the original floors, and the large windows and view from the corner spot. The location is perfect — two (barely!) short Paris blocks to St. Paul, but also close to the Seine, the Louvre, the Left Bank, not to mention the many charming gallery- and shop-filled cobblestone streets ready to explore nearby. It should also be noted that despite there being quite a bit of traffic during the day (fun to watch from above), the apartment is very quiet at night. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby (we loved Breizh Cafe, a gorgeous, short walk away, and the tapas and service at cozy Les Petites Bouchees around the corner). The bottle of wine, fresh flowers, coffee, laundry detergent, additional toilet paper, and everything else were wonderful extras (not always offered in other rentals). I've already recommended Haven in to others. The entire team is helpful and top-notch every step of the way!
This was the second time that we rented the apartment in Paris through Haven In. They are absolutely the best - reliable, professional, full of useful information and tips. The property was beautiful, clean and with all amenities that we needed. Great location too.
This review is late coming and I apologise. I have rented an apartment from HIP three times now, and this is our second time in the Rosiers apartment and we absolutely love it. Everything is of a very high standard and is exactly as portrayed on the HIP website. It exceeds all expectations.. The company is wonderful to deal with and professional in every way. Love the Rosiers apartment, it is in our favourite arrondissement the Marais. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the HIP apartments and the entire HIP team.
Thanks for having us at the apartment. We have had a great time. Some tips for future guests: 1) Book tickets online where possible to avoid massive queues (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc.) 2) Do some day trips, especially Versailles, but also Chartres and Monet's garden. 3) Try out the local restaurants.
We loved staying in the apartment. It is modern, pretty, and a fun place to stay. We had fun watching TV, cooking, and even sleeping, in this wonderful apartment. The view of the street from the window is really cool. Thank you for letting us stay here! - Written by The Hale's 11 Year Old Daughter
We stayed in the Rosiers apartment during our first trip to Paris in April 2016. Here are a few things of note. Location - The location of the apartment was great. Absolutely loved the neighborhood. We walked all over Paris from the apartment. 15 minute walk to Notre Dame, 30 minutes to the Louvre. The metro is very close, convenient and easy to navigate. Lots of wonderful restaurants all around the apartment. I still dream of the boulangerie with the red awning closer to the Bastille - so yummy. We had originally booked a hotel near the Louvre & I’m so thankful we didn’t stay there - that place is a circus. Flat - The flat was fantastic. There are times when you book a hotel room or an apartment online & what you get looks nothing like what it is in real life. That is not the case with this apartment. What you see is what you get - truly. The flat had all the comforts of home. The living space was nice & open. Our then, 14 month old ran all around the apartment & had a ball. The kitchen was very gourmet. While I don’t like doing dishes when on vacation, it was so nice to have a furnished kitchen that was very functional. LOVED the big windows - they let so much light in. Furniture was very comfortable. The tall ceilings & wood floors were also just lovely. Bedrooms - The bedrooms were really nice in size. I’ve stayed in hotels in NY & London with rooms smaller than the bedrooms in this flat. We were not expecting all that space - even after reading the size dimensions. The beds were very comfy. Each room had great storage for clothes & suitcases. Amenities - The washer & dryer were so nice to have when traveling with a toddler. I did laundry almost every day. While it was nice to have a TV, I think we only turned it on once during our stay. The WiFi was glitchy at times, but I think that is just Paris. We used the provided laptop at times, but mainly used our own devices. I did enjoy perusing the library at the apartment - quite an assortment of fiction as well as travel guides. The bathtub was great as was the shower. We never had any problem getting hot water or any water pressure issues. Whenever we get back to Paris we would not hesitate to stay at the Rosiers apartment again. Having our own space in an apartment really helped enhance our travel experience. Our rental process was a truly great experience. I've already recommended Haven in Paris to several friends & family members.
We had the best time in this apartment and this neighborhood! It was so nice to come home everyday and chill out before going back out to dinner. Having this space really made our Parisian experience "fantastique." Get the lemon meringue pie from down the street - it'll put you in a sugar coma! Merci + a bientot!
We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. A few things we recommend: 1) Les Rosiers for morning coffee! Look down from the window next to the kitchen table. Patrick and Evelyn make wonderful espresso drinks. We ordered cafe cremes. Our French is terrible, but they were sweet. Great way to start the day. Had a solid dinner there as well! 2) Velib bikes! Get on their website and buy a pass. You will figure it out. You can buy a helmet at BHV or ride without. It is the best way to see Paris.
The condo was excellent, as spacious as advertised. It was beautiful, well decorated & very comfortable. We loved the kitchen & laundry. The prior reviews mentioned noise- 2 observations, the children upstairs were noisy, but it didn't bother us, and at some point they went to sleep, secondly, the street noise was quite loud, as we were there during a heat wave and needed the windows open. Our greeter was lovely- prompt & informative. She gave us access to contact her if needed. The apartment was very clean.
My daughter and I stayed at this apartment for our first trip to Paris recently. My experience with Haven in Paris was first rate throughout and I would not hesitate to recommend them and use them again myself. The apartment itself was a delight. It's location in le Marais was wonderful, just a short walk to the Metro, bus stop and taxi line. All kinds of shops, cafes and historic sights were within a short walk as well. Although the area was bustling and lively, the apartment was nice and quiet at night. The beds were very comfortable, with hotel-quality sheets. The living area was spacious with an awesome leather sectional and large coffee table, bright, spotlessly clean windows and a lovely modern kitchen. We enjoyed eating in a few times and also used the provided washer and dryer once, another great feature. The original wood floors and beams added a warm and historic touch. All-in-all, a wonderful stay.
We had such a lovely time in Paris. The apartment was so comfortable and Loredana was such a gracious and helpful greeter. She made us feel instantly at home. We travel to paris often, so you will surely hear from us again!
The apartment is perfectly situated - steps from the metro and a taxi stand. It's nestled in Le Marais, surrounded by countless cafés and shops. For any traveler who loves walking and exploring, it is a dream location. The living room is larger than it looks online. It has a charming view, ample seating and a well equipped kitchen. The only drawback is the typical half bath - the room with just the toilet/sink. It was fine for me and my husband, since it was just the two of us, however it is located next to the front door/in the kitchen. It could be a little awkward with friends traveling together! Everything else was comfortable, clean and quiet. We had a great stay!
The property could use some updating but we love the location. Note from HiP: The property is scheduled to be completely repainted and updated this fall (2014).
Haven in Paris is a wonderful service that set us up in the perfect flat for our stay in Paris. Their services were thorough and prompt. The whole rental process went very smoothly and they helped our family of 5 (including 3 small children) find the perfect flat to rent while staying in Paris. The location of the Rosiers flat is absolutely perfect! This was our 3rd trip to paris, first time with small children and we were blown away by the neighborhood and all it has to offer. Traveling with small children could be challenging so we were pleased to have such a comfortable home to relax in when the children were tired from exploring the city. My husband and I would sit next to the open window, drink our wine and people watch from the apartment. It was our favorite seat in the house! The property was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Having the amenities provided made it easy for us to cook, do laundry and live comfortable in Paris for 2 weeks. We absolutely fell in love with the apartment and the area and we were truly sad to say goodbye.
I was met at the apartment by Loredana. She was waiting for me upon my arrival. Very pleasant and professional. Flowers, wine and croissants awaited me. Loredana explained how the apartment and all within it worked (washer, dryer, dishwasher, computer,tv etc.) and of course showed me the instruction book which contained the same info. Loredana provided extra help with. Electronic and phone questions I had(and even showed me a few tricks.I hadn't known ). It was if she anticipated questions she knew I was going to have in the next couple of days. She checked in with us a couple of times to make sure all was well. She arranged our final taxi to the train station.
We thought that the flat was fantastic--not just beautiful and clean, but beautifully appointed. Our greeter, Loredana, was just wonderful and very helpful.
My wife, our son and I stayed at Rosiers in August this year and we really enjoyed everything about it. Haven in Paris did a good job of communicating with us prior to arrival, setting up our greeter etc. The apartment was spotless, very big (for three people, especially in Paris) and located in a great neighbourhood- very central to all the tourist attractions. Our greeter was very helpful and made a lot of good suggestions upon our arrival. We had a fantastic stay. Highly recommend this property.
We had a wonderful time in the Rosiers-Marais apartment. The location was perfect. The neighborhood is full of history, beautiful buildings, cafes, shopping, and magnificent parks. The Saint Paul Metro stop is a block and a half away, with the most popular sites of Paris accessible without a transfer. The apartment was exactly as advertised and very comfortable. The large living room/kitchen offered plenty of natural light with four large windows that open to a beautiful view wherever one looked. We appreciated the full disclosure of the family in the apartment above and their noise level, however, we were never bothered by any of that. The apartment residents were friendly and welcoming. Everything you need is steps away, bakery, cheese shops, fruit and vegetable markets, food shops. This location allows you to quickly develop a wonderful routine of daily shopping that makes the difference from visiting Paris to feeling like you’re living in Paris.
The Haven in Paris (HIP) folks were helpful, responsive and care a great deal about making the trip as smooth as possible. There were a couple of issues with our first night and the HIP folks were very thoughtful with their remedy. Also, make sure that if you're booking in high season, you reserve right away. We lost a few places because we were not being decisive enough! The property itself is in a fantastic location. You are right in the heart of the Marais. The views of the charming streets and the people watching are unparalleled. The best falafel stand is a 2 minute walk, as are amazing boutiques and restaurants. The metro and taxi stand are both less than a 3-minute walk. Much of the apartment has been updated but it does have very squeaky, old floors (I'm told by many Parisians that many Paris apartments are like this). We heard the child running upstairs a few mornings but the fans tended to drown out most of the noise. The lack of A/C was only a bummer on a few very warm nights and the great fans made a huge difference.
I really likes the property -- in particular, i appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was with good knives, a very good oven, an espresso machine, good wine glasses, etc. It made it a lot easier to enjoy all the delicious food we bought in Paris. The apartment was very clean, and having the dishwasher and the washing machine was great. The location and view from the living room is fantastic, as was the buidling. Loredana was extremely helpful and I enjoyed meeting her. My only complaint, which maybe is not solvable, is that the child who lives upstairs seems to be stomping around his or her apartment for at least 8 hours a day, starting at 8am. It is not clear how so much consistent noise can be made - is the child running around in circles? It is quite loud in the Rue de Rosiers apartment. Since probably nothing can be done about this, tenants should be strongly advised to at least bring earplugs. Other than that, it was a really fantastic experience and I have already recommended the company to a colleague. Note from Haven in Paris: Thank you for letting us know about the child. It does seem to be only sometimes. Some clients are bothered and others are not. We are sorry you were inconvenienced. All the best.
The Rosiers property is great, in a prime location. Check-in with our greeter was efficient, friendly and welcoming. She made herself available for our needs during our stay, though we didn't ask of anything beyond check in and check out. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and very clean upon check in. Staying there really makes it hard to go back to smaller hotel rooms. The large windows in the living room make the city feel close; you're looking right out on a well traveled intersection in Le Marais. We didn't do any cooking but if you're going to, the kitchen is large and well stocked with gear. The beds are very comfortable. There's an abundance of restaurants, shops, cafes right outside the door. The metro is a 1 minute walk. We had started our stay in another apt I rented from a different website and were very disappointed at its condition. We were fortunate the Rosiers apt was available at a late date for us to switch to and were incredibly relieved when we checked in. This was the right place, the one we should have been in from the start. It's true there's a child that runs around in an apt upstairs; this woke us up one morning during our 7 night stay. Other than that we didn't hear anything in the morning, just in the early evening, which wasn't a bother. It was a minor annoyance that didn't dampen the stay at all. Highly recommended. Wish I was there now.
The apartment was lovely. It is in an excellent location and is a very short walk to metro station. The apartment was immaculate with many conveniences and secure.
We loved the apartment in Paris. The location was superb. And the apartment was fully equipped with all of the things we needed. Loredana was a very good welcoming host. She spent a good deal of time taking us through the details of the apartment. And she was very helpful on our departure getting us a taxi. We were minutes from the subway, spectacular food shops and restaurants. It was a wonderful area to be in for a week. We did hear the child upstairs each morning and at suppertime. He seemed to run from one end of the apartment to the other for about an hour each time. But there was no noise at night so overall we were not bothered by this.
This was our 2nd time using HIP. Both experiences were great. This time we appreciated your accommodating our 3 night stay. The flat was great, the greeter could not have been more helpful and the location of the flat was the best.
Excellent experience overall ! We stayed at this property to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday, the apartment was clean, well furnished, and in a vibrant location. We enjoyed the Marais, the proximity to the metro was a huge plus, there is also a taxi stand close by. Roger and Loredana were very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this property and HIP to all of our friends!
The apartment as perfectly located for all Paris attractions. Incredible selection of restaurants close by, as well as easy access to the metro station. Safe neighborhood, great people watching, very diverse. The apartment met all our needs and was very well equipped. We wished there had been air conditioning for some of the nights that were a little warmer (August), but fans helped a great deal. We would definitely rent again.
We rented the Rosiers property in the Marais district. Roger met us at the apartment - he was a great host and showed us around the apartment and definitely left us feeling he was just a phone call away. The apartment is in a great location...that being said it is a busy spot, we would have liked AC so we could keep the windows shut and the early morning noises out. We loved the area, being so close to the metro, great shops and restaurants near by. The apartment itself was nice looking and very comfortable. Having a separate bathroom just for the toilet is a good idea....but it's very small, we felt too small and we would have preferred it closer to the bedrooms not the kitchen. We still thoroughly enjoyed our week in Paris and the apartment.
I lived in this neighborhood 18 years ago, so I was excited to return for a week with my husband and two kids (8 and 5). The location is amazing - close the the metro, shops, markets, etc. The apartment is flooded with light and in the middle of everything, yet shockingly quiet as soon as you close the windows. We were warned of a young neighbor overhead who could be heard running back and forth at times. While we did hear him, it was never for long periods of time nor at odd hours. We even met the family in the stairway and they were very friendly. This is an authentic experience with great amenities. We are already planning our next trip and will definitely rent from HIP again.
I cannot recommend HIP highly enough . This is the second time we have rented an apartment with them and both times the experience has far exceeded our expectations. The company professional, caring and dedicated to delivering a wonderful experience for their clients. The apartments beautiful, clean, wonderfully positioned and exactly as shown on their website. Bravo to the team for maintaining such high standards. Look forward to our next holiday with you.....perhaps Tuscany or Provence!
We rented this property for a week with our 2 children and cousin (super babysitter). We live in NYC and were looking for a comfortable apartment that felt more like visiting Soho than Times Square, and the Rosiers property and location were perfect. You could walk a few blocks every morning to pick up amazing croissants for breakfast, comfortably starting the day in the open kitchen/living room area overlooking the Marais buzzing below. It's a quick walk to the St. Paul Metro with wonderful local shopping. It would take 15-20 minutes to get to the Eiffel Tower and some of the major musuems. If you like to be close enough to the major tourist spots while feeling like a local, this apartment is a great pick.
This is a lovely lovely apartment right smack bang in the heart of the Marais and close to St Paul Metro... it was great for us - family of 4 including two children aged 13 and 10. Beautiful old building that makes you feel like you are a Parisian. Also HiP were really great to deal with right from the get go through to meeting Roger at the apartment - very very highly recommended!!
Haven in Paris was very easy to work with both during reservations and in Paris at the apartment. Checking in and out went off without a hitch. The apartment was absolutely lovely, and the views of the street were quintessential Paris. For much of my stay I was there with women friends and we always felt very safe in the neighborhood and in the apartment itself. We loved the decor -- modern and tasteful without any clutter. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed eating in on a few occasions. The neighborhood has everything one could ever need from lovely cafes and restaurants to great shopping to museums and more. All in all, a perfect place to nest in Paris.
Well cleaned, nicely furnished, beds very comfortable, everything worked -washer/dryer was great asset. excellent location for site seeing, restaurants, museums. Concierage services worked out well. Our afternoon tour with Chris Lomon was the best!! We laughed, walked on the left bank touring historical sites, he was a wealth of knowledge and conveyed a delightful presence to our group of 4. I'd go back to stay at Rosiers again.
From the reservation process and throughout the rental period everyone that we encountered was helpful and professional.
We stayed at the Rosiers property for one week in July with our 18 year old daughter and her friend. The location was perfect. Not more than a 2 minute walk to the metro, boulangerie, food stores made it ideal for grabbing food for breakfast in the morning. We looked out on a busy pedestrian corner, and spent the cocktail hour with glass of wine in hand watching the passing parade - terrific people watching, not only tourists, but the hustle and bustle of regular life. Lots to see and do just in the immediate area, and we felt comfortable about having the girls wander about on their own. They loved the unique shops close by. Being in Le Marais district meant that almost all of Paris was in comfortable walking distance. The accomodations were wonderful. A comfortable King bed in one room, a Queen in the other - pillows were too thin for us, and the duvets far too warm, but fortunately, I recalled from past visits to Europe (and even hotels at home) about no top sheets, so I simply packed one for the trip. This was my first time renting an apartment, but the process was seamless with Haven in Paris. The driver we hired through HiP met us at the airport and helped with the bags to go upstairs - highly recommend going that route. I will use them again, and would recommend this unit to my friends and family. Note from Haven in Paris: Thanks for letting us know about the duvet and top sheets. We will work to make sure in summer the flats all have top sheets.
The family of myself, wife and two young kids thoroughly enjoyed our time in the apartment. It was clean and comfortable, was in a great location and quiet. We (especially the kids) would often stand at the window and look down at the street scene below. The kids liked waving and shouting hello to the people going through the intersection. The apartment is close to good cafes, transport, bakeries, shops and supermarkets. We really enjoyed walking around the area and felt very safe even later at night. Can't wait to come back.
I just had the incredible experience of living for six weeks at the Rosiers apartment. What an absolute delight. The apartment is even better than it looks (and the pictures are inviting). The owners have done a spectacular job combining the character of the old building (beamed ceiling, steel post in living room, soft wood floors that creak and sag yet ooze with charm) along with the ideal modern touches. The kitchen is fabulous; we cooked the majority of our time. The bathroom is enormous with enough counter space and shelves for everything. The closets and overall storage were abundant (something that mattered to me for six weeks). The furnishings throughout are stylish and suit the space perfectly. (A favorite spot was on the L-shaped couch looking out at the street corner.) The recessed lighting is well done. The linens are soft and comfy. The TV is great. Internet worked perfectly. Honestly every choice has been made so thoughtfully. And if that isn’t enough…you’ve got the BEST location perhaps in all of Paris. You’re in the middle of the action in the Marais yet only one block from the St. Paul metro (line 1 no less), a taxi stand and food shops galore on rue St Antoine. It was so fun to watch the neighborhood change throughout the day: super quiet and peaceful all morning…once the stores opened and into the afternoon there was a parade of activity out the living room window…then it would wind down and the quiet would come again in the evening. But only a few blocks away you’ve got access to incredible nightlife. Sundays were a highlight with the streets closed to car traffic and literally every store and restaurant open. The service commitment of Haven in Paris took the experience to another level. “Le top!” The entire Haven in Paris team, as well as Wendy, Loredana and Vincent in Paris, exceeded all of my expectations. They checked in on me just the right amount of time. There were inevitably “things” that happened during a six-week stay, and everyone was gracious and accommodating and responsive. I will recommend Haven apartments to everyone I know, and if the team decides to take on new cities around the world, I will gladly follow them.
The property was in a great location, but there is a small child in the apartment above, who ran around a lot, so when we were relaxing early evening it was disturbing. Our greeter was incredible. She gave us a great orientation on all of the electronics and was so pleasant and helpful. We went to a restaurant she recommended, which was excellent. The driver was on time and very helpful with our bags. The flat was very clean. Note From HIP: As the apartment is located in an old French building, sound can travel between floors. You may hear your neighbors walking in the apartment above you.
We had a wonderful stay at the Rosiers property. I had always heard that Paris was beautiful, but wow. What a great neighborhood. The apartment is perfectly located in relation to everything especially the Metro. The apartment is great. It comfortably handled three adults ( mother, father and grandmother) and two children. It is beautifully renovated and everything works well. Your apartment guide is quite helpful. It provides useful information about the apartment and the neighborhood. We tried several of the owner's recommendations, and we were pleased. I guess I was surprised that there was only one toilet. It was no big deal. More of an issue for my wife and mother, but not a big one. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about the property or Haven in Paris. I would totally rent through you again. I will recommend you to others.
it was really all incredible!! great service, great place great all!!! all easy nice kind...etc thanks! T
Spacious, contemporary, squeaky clean, excellent mattress(es), bedding, kitchen equipped to the hilt, including starter food such as coffee, tea, milk (all unexpected and welcomed). The only minor detail was the laptop available in the apartment that required some router adjustments but I imagine this will be fixed in no time given the efficiency of the Haven in Paris team. Location, location, location. In fact, we were slightly concerned knowing this is a sought-after and tourist-y zone especially weekends. However, the apartment was absolutely silent and we adored peering over the activity below (when there was any).
The Rosiers apartment is Parisian rental at its best. The apartment is stylish, well equipped, comfortable and in a fantastic location close to many major attractions and excellent shopping. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby and with good food stores on the doorstep 'eating in' was also possible with the well equipped kitchen. The Haven in Paris team customer service was first class- friendly, professional and easily available for queries at any time.
The location is close to perfect. Walking distance from many interesting areas of Paris and close to Metro stops. The apartment was great for 4 people. We only cooked once, but found the kitchen to be very functional. We would definitely rent the same apartment again.
Working with Haven in Paris has truly been a pleasure. Each and every contact we had with your team members before even arriving in Paris was seamless, professional and very helpful. Upon arrival at the property, our greeter, Wendy, was wonderful. She was warm, charming, and helpful while walking us through everything we needed to know about the apartment. The apartment itself was great and exceeded our expectations. The location was exactly where we wanted to be -- in the heart of Le Marais -- and it was in excellent condition. The decor and set-up were such that it felt warm and homey, but fresh and well-cared for. The housekeeping was immaculate and all the supplies were thoughtfully well-stocked. We had such a wonderful stay and plan to work with Haven in Paris again when we next visit Paris.
The Rosier Apartment was beautifully appointed and very convenient. The St. Paul Metro stop was just at the end of the street. Although the neighborhood was lively, the apartment was very quiet and peaceful. The few neighbors that we encountered in the hall were very friendly and we felt welcome in the building. The guide in the apartment listed many great shops, restaurants and activities as well as provided directions for using the laptop and phone. Although we did not require any assistance from the HIP staff, they did check in on us during our stay and I felt confident that I could call on them or our greeter Wendy, if we needed help. I highly recommend the HIP service. Everything was exactly as described, the apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable. What you see is what you get. The experience was first rate!
The apartment I rented was absolutely wonderful! The greeter was on time, available for questions, gave us a complete tour of the apartment, and had a dozen roses for us to adorn the apartment (nice touch). My friend and I had a great time staying there. We loved the area it was located in. The drivers recommended were excellent. Overall a great visit and I would recommend the apartment and Haven in Paris without reservation.
Our greeter was wonderful. She thoroughly showed us the property and all the amenities. The apartment was perfect! The rooms were beautiful and fully equipped. The location was ideal, very near metro and bus lines. The neighborhood was fun and interesting with many nearby outstanding restaurants. Their was copious amounts of hot water so we really enjoyed the beautiful bathtub and shower. Thank you to our greeter and the Haven in Paris staff.
Regarding the person who greeted us at the flat; Actually there were three good looking, friendly ladies present when we arrived. They individually answered our question and also gave us answers to questions we didn't think of. All in all it was a positive experience. The flat was very clean on arrival, and when the flat was cleaned again, after the first week, it was first rate. I also like to thank you for the quick action when there was a malfunction of the bed. It was repaired quickly and properly. The apartment itself was very functional. Everything worked and the instructions for the operations of dishwasher and washer/dryer were clear. The location of the apartment was terrific a quick step to the Metro and a lot of nearby cafes and restaurants.
Our stay was terrific in every regard, and we appreciate the great service we received from your team. We're already saving our pennies for our next stay with HiP! Our greeter, Wendy, was excellent.
We loved the flat at rue Rosiers, and Wendy was wonderful - very helpful and accommodating, adjusting her schedule to help us out on both ends. Furnishings are lovely and tasteful; beds were heaven; kitchen is gorgeous; everything is very high-end. Apt. was clean as a whistle and well stocked. Location is fabulous; we walked almost everywhere from there. In summary, we had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to go back to rue Rosiers, and certainly will recommend Haven in Paris to all our friends. Thanks to all of you for a wonderful Paris experience.
The Rosiers flat was our second time with Haven in Paris, and once more it was everything we expected! A lovely flat nicelly furnished and well equipped, in a great location, a charming fashion street, but also very quiet . It was perfect!
The cleaners was fabulous. We had special needs -- my son has severe food allergies -- and the cleaners went the "extra mile" to be sure that he was comfortable and healthy. The property was in excellent condition and we loved the neighborhood. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Wendy was helpful. We arrived about 2 hours early and she came over immediately to welcome us, and store our luggage until the existing guests had departed. We did not find HIP staff to have particularly helpful recommendations on two counts. We were unable to find a private driver to pick us up -- received only two recommendations from HIP and both were not available. HIP then directed us to the local taxi service. We also thought that HIP might be a bit more helpful in shopping suggestions for our food-allergic son. We ended up seeking advice from a native who directed us (without hesitation) to local organic/ health food stores. NOTE FROM HAVEN IN PARIS: We're so sorry you thought our staff was not helpful in regards to drivers and restaurants. We really strive to only recommend drivers whom we know personally and, at the time, only had two drivers to recommend. We've since added a third driver to our site. In addition, your point on organic super markets is well-taken and we will be writing up a list of Paris' organic super markets for all future clients. I hope this will be helpful to you and all future travelers.
Hello Haven in Paris team: Wendy was wonderful as always!! The rosier apartment was great. I had no problems while staying at the apartment. I requested that the cleaners only come once and they did. I maintained the cleanliness of the apartment. My only problem was that the cleaning person was not a very happy person. She seemed bothered and just very unhappy. Other than this our stay was fabulous!! I have referred many friends and even some tourist (while out in Paris) your company. Note from Haven in Paris: We are sorry the cleaner was not happy. Normally she is. We have spoken to her about this.
We had a very good time in the beautiful, large and comfortable apartment. This flat has exceptional natural illumination during the day and a privileged situation in Le Marais. Renovated and well-equipped, it has a mixture of modern comfort and traditional chic. We took perfect care of it and left it immaculate. Of course, as it often occurs with ancient buildings in Paris, the wooden floors are noisy. You hear the footsteps of your neighbors from the next floor but if they are little children - as in this case- you tend to forgive them! By night, even if the apartment is located right in the heart of the city, the calm is extraordinary.
The apartment is spacious, full of light, very clean, well-equipped. It is in a superb location - both in terms of the Marais and the particular street, where it provides a great window on the street "theatre" below. Large windows that open were a delight. Driver: your recommendation of Victor Limousines was very good. The driver sent to pick us up (at different CDG Terminals and with delays in schedule) was very professional and pleasant -- despite the frustration for him of waiting and checking between the terminals. The care and efficiency of service determined that we used the same service to take us to CDG upon our departure.
Super easy reservation process, excellent communication and guidelines for the property, how to get there and the surrounding area. Great property in a fantastic location, kid friendly and spacious. Far better than staying in a hotel. All up a lovely time was had by our family on our first trip to Paris!
Fantastic apartment in a perfect location. Although we've been to Paris often, this was our first time in the Marais and our first stay in an apartment - never again will we stay in a hotel! The Marais was a brilliant location for experiencing a Parisian way of life, there was so much to see and do within a 10 minute walk. The apartment is perfectly positioned for buses, metro, shops and restaurants. We can't wait to return.
The Rosiers apartment is lovely. The large windows on two sides of the living room give the apartment an even more spacious appearance, and the apartment is already spacious. The beds are cozy and the floors were warm during this cold Paris spring. The bathroom set up is excellent for a space with more than one or two people. The kitchen is adequately equipped for vacationers. The location in Paris is the best on the Right Bank, with the Marais neighborhood shops and restaurants within a short walk of the apartment. I hope to make this my home away from home once again in the near future.
O apartamento é um espetáculo. Localização perfeita, equipamentos funcionando e a possibilidade de vivenciarmos Paris de uma outra maneira. Adoramos e, certamente alugaremos o Rosiers novamente.
The US based staff and Wendy, in Paris, were attentive and wonderful. We truly felt as if we were living as Parisians (albeit Parisians on vacation!) for a week. One could not ask for a better location. The bedrooms and beds were extremely comfortable. A WC in the large hall bathroom would have been better, but I know that the existing layout is a common way of building in Europe. It was wonderful to have local and US phone calls included -- a huge convenience when contacting sites, restaurants, etc. with questions and reservation requests. We enjoyed the spacious feeling of the apartment and the wealth of guide books provided to us. Some VERY minor points: the kitchen bar stools slope downward; their slippery finish caused me to keep sliding off of them! More plastic, kitchen trash bags were needed. The faucet in the WC, unless turned to the lowest spray, sprays outward, wetting the sink user a bit (I believe another reviewer had commented on this). Excellent housekeeping! The apartment was very clean when we arrived. For airport transport, we used Victor (and his colleague, Mario), the driver recommended by HIP. The experience was great -- prompt service, help with our abundant luggage.
The apartment was very comfortable and well furnished and supplied. We enjoyed having space and not being confined to a hotel rooom. The neighborhood was very convenient and close to a metro stop. The large tub and shower were luxurious. The only negative was the little room with the toilet where the water sprayed when you washed. We had a marvelous time!
I could not have asked for a better apartment in a better location for our needs than the Rosiers. So centrally located close to shops, good restaurants and public transport. We loved our Paris exprience in this beautifullly renovated apartment. The only downside was that there were five of us and except for the master bedrooms the beds were tiny. (Note from Haven in Paris: The bed in the 2nd bedroom is a queen)
i liked the fact that there were no hidden costs. no deposit that was kept because a hanger was missing or the trash was not taken out, which has been my experience with most rental places. there was loads of t.p. paper towels, towels and wash cloths. it honestly felt like i was renting from friends. i liked the honor system and the general grown-up approach in the negotiation. i also liked the fact that there were not signs all over the apartment reminding me what to do and that i was renting. it truly felt like home. people in the building were also quite nice and there was no hostility toward myself or my guests
First of all we would like to say that we loved the Rosiers apartment. It was more comfortable than pictured, and quieter then imagined. It was close to the Metro and many small Bistro's and Cafes. Haven in Paris was extremely professional in all aspects of the rental, from the personal calls, follow-ups, and information packets on the Apt., the neighborhood, and the greeter who met us at the Apt. to show us around and make us feel comfortable. Wendy, the greeter, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable about the apartment and its location. She is an asset to Haven in Paris.
A Fantastic apartment in a great location and perfect with children. The Haven in Paris Team made the trip so easy and nothing was too much trouble.
We had a lovely holiday. Perfect weather every day! Flat - spacious and in a wonderful position, clean and well-equipped. Greeter was very helpful. The only thing that was at all negative was that the toilet was separate from the bathroom. I guess this is the French way. It was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and a lovely place to stay - quiet, comfortable beds, lots of new towels, etc.
The apartment was wonderful, the location great... We had a wonderful stay, much of it as a result of renting this apt and having a place to call home!! I'll never stay in a hotel again!!!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Paris. The apartment was so spacious and very comfortable for the four of us ladies and in a perfect location close to transportation, restaurants, shopping and within minutes of Notre Dame. Our vacation in Paris far exceeded our expectations. Thank you for being a big part of making this a huge success for us. Wendy our greeter was excellent. She is so thorough, friendly, helpful and courteous. We very much loved the welcoming gifts of a bottle of wine and beautiful red roses.
We had a great trip. The apartment was perfect for two couples traveling with toddlers. It is in a great location. Close enough to everything in Le Marais and centrally located to travel throughout Paris on the Metro. However, as close as it is to everything it is a very quiet and peaceful apartment. We definitely will use Haven in Paris the next time we travel to Paris.
My friend Nancy and I loved the apartment! The Rosiers apartment was a perfect home away from home. The spacious, light-filled, open living area was a delight to come home after every day's outing. We enjoyed sitting at the floor-to-ceiling windows and observing the vibrant street scene at the intersection below--it seemed a wonderful neighborhood: lively yet relatively quiet. Great beds and luxurious, high-count sheets made sleeping a pleasure. All the other appointments--bathroom and kitchen--were wonderfully equipped. We appreciated having a washer and dryer, as well as a Mac lap top. The location couldn't have been more convenient: the St. Paul metro stop just a block away, and boulangeries close by. We would definitely stay here again and strongly recommend this property to people wanting a convenient apartment with a lively neighborhood feeling.
The Rosiers apartment was perfect in every way. It somehow combines elegance and a child-friendly environment Our greeter Wendy was very professional and helpful. The neighborhood had everything you could imagine for a picture-book experience in Paris. We are already thinking about our next trip that we would like to take with you!
The apartment was well furnished with a modern kitchen, bath and plenty of space. We loved the included laptop, internet connection and calls to the US. The apartment was in a perfect location--on a quiet street yet close to restaurants, shops, metro and a taxi stand. Wendy, our greeter, was very helpful & patient about showing us around the apartment. She also responded promptly to a couple of e-mail questions during our stay.
Everything has been fabulous. Wendy was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. We are so appreciative of everything the Haven team has done to make this a memorable experience for our whole family.
The Rosiers Apartment was wonderful. We loved the location and being able to step out the door and find a great restaurant or do some shopping right in the neighborhood. Wendy was our greeter upon arriving in Paris, and she did everything possible to provide us with a warm welcome. The apartment had everything we could possibly need and we were so appreciative of the beautiful flowers and wine that was there for us as well.
Our trip to Paris through HIP was wonderful. Our greeter was prompt for both our arrival and departure, and she was poised to answer all our questions. The apartment was stylish and well appointed, and its location fantastic. Our neighborhood was vibrant and eclectic, and the nearest metro only a block and a half away. My only small suggestions for improvement: add an alarm clock in the master bedroom and a radio in the main living area. Potential guests: please note that there is a toilet in the half bath, but no toilet in the bathroom with shower/tub.
Everything was very high standard - the location, furnishings, size for 2 couples, kitchen facility and appliances, internet and cable TV, booklets/tourist info on Paris. Greeter was outstanding - punctual, patient, informative, unintrusive, followed up 2 requests. I have already recommended your company to people in my French class and friends.
Haven in Paris has done an amazing job of making visitors feel very much at home. We loved our apartment so much - the location was the best (and we have lived in Paris on and off for years!) and the apartment itself was clean and well cared for. We would DEFINITELY stay there again!
We had an enjoyable experience in Paris partly because of nice apartment we rented from Haven in Paris (HiP). When we arrived at the apartment, we were greeted by Wendy and she gave us a detailed tour of the beautiful apartment. The apartment was well-equipped with nice plasma TV, good internet connection (including a nice MacBook), and free phone calls around the world (yay!). The location of the apartment is perfect, just one block from St. Paul metro station right in the heart of Marais and very close to all the conveniences. We have been in Paris for several times now but this was the first time we stayed in an apartment. Our experience of staying in this apartment is so much better than in hotels so for our next visit in Paris we will undoubtly contact HiP.
We have visited Paris many times. This time we were looking for a home from home to enjoy the city with our young children. We loved the Rosiers apartment. It was exceptionally comfortable and in a great location, with all the comforts of home. We will book with Haven in Paris for our next visit.
Srongly recommend brighter lighting for reading near the sofa. It would be great if there were some coffee packets for the coffee press available on arrival. Duvet cover in courtyard bedroom was a bit warm; a lighter blanket would be nice. Otherwise, the apartment was very well supplied with everything, including state of art appliances, cookware and table ware of excellent quality. And, in case anyone wonders, the leather sofa was really, really comfortable and roomy! Very charming and interesting neighborhood a block from the Metro and central to just about everything. A wonderful experience!
We had a wonderful time in the Rosiers apartment. The apartment is beautiful and well equipped. The neighborhood so much fun, like a village in the middle of Paris. Our greeter, Wendy, is very special. She made sure everything about our trip worked out perfectly. She is truly a jewel.
We had a wonderful week in Paris, due in no small part to the lovely apartment we stayed in. If you're looking for a beautiful Paris apartment with easy Metro access(two blocks), great walking distance to many major points of interest, in a cool neighbourhood with high end boutiques and good restaurants, and yet very quiet later at night, then rent this one! Rue Pavee has all the amentities you'll need including a full kitchen, very comforatble beds and a new bathroom, flat screen TV, internet and a laptop. Big windows flood the place with light. Wendy (our greeter) was super. Very knowledgeable, efficient and personable. She gets two thumbs up from us. We couldn't have been happier with our choice and plan to return. Don't get fooled into thinking you need to be in another neighborhood. The Marais is the best.
The apartment was great, as per our expectation. We really enjoy the décor, the layout and the facilities provided. We have spent a beautiful week. Wendy (our greeter) was very welcoming and punctual, she definitely met your expectation. Thanks a lot for having such professional and high standard services.
The Rosiers apt. is in the perfect location: very close to the metro, shops, and many museums. It has a great kitchen, and an amazing view of the charming neighborhood. We greatly appreciated all the amenities that the apt. offered--having the computer was a huge help! Our greeter was Casey, and she was very sweet and helpful. She showed us the apt. and did not seem at all rushed, allowing us some time to digest the info and ask any questions. The service by HIP was excellent, and although we did not use the services of the local contact very much, she was immediately helpful when we needed her. It was a wonderful week in Paris! We would happily stay there again.
Dealing with Haven in Paris was very easy - from the reservation process to checking in at the apartment. We arrived at the apartment and were very pleased with it. We could open the windows and look right down on the street corner. It was wonderful for the kids to experience Paris this way. The location of the apartment was perfect - the metro stop was just a block away!
We had a delightful time in your apartment in Paris. It is very lovely and I look forward to staying in one of your apartments again next year hopefully in Italy.
We had a wonderful stay in Paris. We've travelled to Paris a number of times and used various apartment rental companies. We'd have to say that Haven In Paris is by far the best. All the promises made about the apartment and service were delivered with a smile and far exceeded our expectations. The apartment and location were outstanding and it considered every convenience that you could need on a holiday. Larger than most apartments we'd previously stayed in, it made for a relaxing and wonderful stay and we'll definitely be back. Our greeter was fantastic. As we drove into Paris, our arrival time kept changing a little and she was fantastically flexible about the constantly changing time! Once we arrived she took the time to take us through everything and was more than accommodating. Thanks again for everything, will definitely be using Haven In Paris again and will recommend Haven In Paris and the apartment to all.
Our family of five ( 3 teenagers) stayed in the Rosiers apartment for one week starting in late June 2008. Overall, we found the apartment to be comfortable and in a fabulous location for exploring Paris. I must say that we very much enjoyed this property. Having stayed in Paris on a number of occasions, and in various types of accommodation, this place really can't be beat. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and there were numerous bakeries, butchers, grocers and specialty shops for cheese, wine and the like nearby that made things very easy. It took all of about 3 minutes each morning to head down the street to get our morning pastries and baguette. The apartment was well stocked with items such as paper towels, toilet paper and other basic supplies. Despite the fact that the apartment was on the second floor (or first floor as they call it in France) it was quiet, even when the street outside may have been noisy. It was hot for a couple of the days we were there, but even with the windows shut during the day when we were out, the apartment kept cool, and when windows were open during the evening there was often a nice refreshing breeze blowing through. The location of this property was great. The Marais is an interesting, safe and comfortable area. The numerous restaurants, museums, sights and shops mean that it is easy to spend time here, and when you want to leave, the metro stop ( St Paul) is literally just steps away. As well, the apartment is an easy walk to Notre Dame, the left bank and numerous other sights. The area is certainly eclectic but that is what makes it so interesting. We received first rate service from Haven in Paris, and their team on the ground in Paris. Our greeter, young woman originally from California was friendly and took the time to explain details about the apartment--some of which no doubt got lost in the fog of jet lag and lack of sleep. Same thing at the time for departure. Certainly friendly and answered any questions we had. The travel arrangements (Elysee cars) from CDG and to the train station went without any problems. In fact we were at the apartment within an hour of landing at CDG-much quicker than we expected. We would certainly not hesitate to use Haven in Paris again for our next trip.
