About
This Space

Nestled in the West Wing of an 18th-century castle close to Arles, the comfortable L'Étable apartment offers modern accommodations for up to 6 guests in a regal setting. The apartment is independent from the rest of the castle and has its own living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom.

The two bedrooms, Les Lauriers and Les Oiseaux, have been decorated with flair and style, using luxurious designer fabrics and wallpaper. Each bedroom faces the quiet, vast backyard and offers a king-size bed and a shared bathroom. Les Lauriers offers a California king-size bed (200cm wide) that can be set up as two singles. Les Oiseaux has a queen-size bed (160cm wide).

Le Nid, a mezzanine overlooking the living room, offers a comfortable sleeping option (140cm wide) for up to 2 additional guests.

Guests to the L'Étable apartment enjoy full access to the large swimming pool (15 x 5 meters or 50 x 16 ft), large garden, and outdoor patios.

About
The Area

The Camargue is a coastal region in southern France located south of the city of Arles, between the Mediterranean Sea and the two arms of the Rhône river delta. The eastern arm is called the Grand Rhône; the western is the Petit Rhône. With an area of over 930 km2 (360 sq mi), the Camargue is western Europe's largest river delta. It is a vast plain comprising large lagoons, cut off from the sea by sandbars and encircled by reed-covered marshes. These are in turn surrounded by a large cultivated area. Approximately a third of the Camargue is either lakes or marshland. The central area around the shoreline of the Étang de Vaccarès has been protected as a regional park since 1927, in recognition of its great importance as a haven for wild birds. In 2008, it was incorporated into the larger Parc naturel régional de Camargue.
